Since I started this game back in September, I wanted to be a commando. So a few months later (yes I was being lazy) I made Master Commando. I then supplemented it with TKM about a month later (yes still lazy).
This made for a darn good PVE template. I had a TON of fun fighting nearly any MOB out there with little problem.
But, last night sealedthis template'sfate.
I was fighting NS's (as I've done many many many times in the past) for loot. But, this time something was different... As usual, I run up ready to put at least two flame DOTs onher and then BLAMO!

I'm dead. One hit kill outta nowhere. After I pick my jaw up off the floor, I clone totry this again....
This time, I walk up with VK's in hand. I'm putting the smack down (UFC style) on the wench and then I get the bright idea (normally not an issue) to put some flame DOTs on her. I equip my flamer and BLAMO (again) I'm dead.
Now, here's the scenerio. I'm not buffed and never was in the past. Powerboost, muon, brandy and synthsteak have always been sufficient. I'm wearing 80% kinetic armor as well. This is how I've always fought these NS's and for some reason, it's not working anymore.
Everytime I'm equipped with my flamethrower, I go down. This has never happened in the past. EVER.
I can't decide whether this is a stealth nerf or what...but I'm dropping Commando. It's useless to me now. I only used it for PVE and loot hunting. But, that appears to be broken and I don't like it one bit.
I've been a master commando since November and it's gonna be hard to hit the "surrender skill" button. But, I find myself searching really hard for a reason not to. /sniff
So, now Grimee Omegor will probably become a MBH and join the BH army we have here on Tarq. Any advice on how much TK I should keep and what other "dabbling" I should do?

Despite all I have said about keeping Commando no matter, this weapon nerf is making it increasingly hard for me to justify keeping it, I wish they'd do something about it.

I feel the exact same way.... I swore I'd never drop it. But, I think the time has come to do just that.

I am sorry to see another commando go. It is a shame that the DEVs have essentially taken out an entire profession right now. It is funny that I see this post because a friend of mine was talking to me about it and asked if it was true or not. He couldnt believe that we could die so easily. Now I know many people will say that he should have been buffed, but think about it this way. The buffs and armor are getting a huge smackdown when the CB comes. I think that the way he is fighting is going to be pretty close to the CB changes. I used to be a Master Commando with TKM, now I fear it is the other way around.

Know the feeling I droped Master Commando myself dispite holding out since the start of the years, sigh back to Flame 4 for me.
