Thread: To Fix the Rocket Launcher/Lightning Beam Cannon Accuracy Issues...

There have been many complaints and issues with these two weapons; they are just too expensive to be so innacurate. I've tried them both, and found too many issues. In my opinion, one more option (other than Fire) would fix this. This would be called "Attack Ground."

I got this idea from a game that I played a long, long time ago... Age of Empires. Trebuchet, Onagers... They had this option, and it was quite effective to attack moving targets.

However, this would serve a different purpose; it would create splash damage around the point that the rocket hits. The only issue would be how to aim the weapon...

I am thinking that when you use the hotkey or choose the option to attack ground, your cursor will turn into a small dot. All you will see is either a red dot or a green dot. A green dot means that the target is in range; a red dot means that it isn't. If you click, it fires at the target and blasts the area, creating splash damage around it.

I haven't decided how large the splash damage would be, however. The damage would probably be as it is today. Another thing that I haven't quite decided yet would be if direct hits would inflict more damage than the splash damage. Any comments and ideas are welcome.
