Thread: Plasma Flamethrower question

I'm just currious as to what the best stats people have manged on plasma flamethrowers post CU? Especially when it comes to SAC. As at least for sale i've never seen any below 104 SAC. And am I correct in assuming that PFTs seem to cap damage at about 1k? I've been fiddling abit with the whole thing though I'm a tad limited as I'm only a 10pt WS. I'm just currious as to what kind of stats 12pt WS have been managing. Be it enhanced or unenhanced. And if it's worth using things like Krayt tissues.

pretty sure SAC cap is 100 on um.

sorry to hijack the thread but how many Krayt tissues are used in making plasma flamethrowers? I'm no weaponsmith but I know one that will make the weapon if i bring him the tissues, and i figured since im at work it would be a good time to get the tissues from the trade forums.

5if i'm not mistaken. Or maybe it's 6. I cant recall off hand if it takes 4 or 5 advanced blaster powerhandlers. You'd need the spare of course to then make the schematic for the others. As they need to all be identical you need to sacrifice one tissue to make a schematic to factory run the remaining power handlers.

They let you in here, too, Kesslan? Sheesh.

Not sure if the flame throwers are truly working, anyway.

I did see an area effect snare today out of one, so maybe they are.

it seems to me the states are working but not the damage.

hmm pitty bout the SAC. Though I suppose the cap is higher up than otehr weapons because Commando weapons are -suposed- to be AoE. Though thats still borked. Gah. Ah well.. Thanks for answering though.

caps on plasma flamethrower is 1200 damage and 2.39 speed. i could be off slightly on the damage, but im pretty sure its about that.

Im super new to the profession, just mastered it today and now Im out gun hunting. I see various types of stats on the plasma's and was wondering, what are stats on a well rounded plasma flamethrower? Nothing uber, just a normally crafted weapon. Thanks for the help!
