Thread: Am I blind or ?????

I decided to take commando the other day, up to flame 3....but anyway here is my real question, everytime I got toa vendor and look for some weapons I notice that there is a listing for heavy weapon power up, but I have yet to ever see any power-ups.....are they non existant? The other thing I was looking at was a HPC (?) I never see those for sale either......just curious.....

i belive those are for granades and that kind of stuff, but not sure, maybe an expert commando can clarify

At some point it was the Devs intentions to have Heavy Weapon power-ups and at some point (probably in Beta) they dropped the idea...much like certain lootable skill mods out there for skills that no longer exist, this Vendor Catagory is for power-ups that don't exist unfortunately...I think the devs left that catagory ingame incase they do one day decide to add them into the game....


There are, in fact, many catagories on Vendors that don't have any items associated with them...There are also many items that are targetted to the wrong categories (I've heard a lot of Tailor complaints on this)...

At some point it was the Devs intentions to have Heavy Weapon power-ups and at some point (probably in Beta) they dropped the idea...much like certain lootable skill mods out there for skills that no longer exist, this Vendor Catagory is for power-ups that don't exist unfortunately...I think the devs left that catagory ingame incase they do one day decide to add them into the game....


Same with the LLC. No powerups. I was in beta and I don't recall ever seeing HW powerups, but that's not to say the functionality wasn't there. For one, few people made it to BH or Commando before Beta ended and two, weaponsmiths were just trying to make a good CDEF, much less a powerup for a Flamethrower or LLC.

Are there any hpc's? Are those heavy particle cannons? And are rocket launchers any good.....i just don't wanna spend

my money on stuff that isn't going to be worth it.......

Actually is there anywhere I can go to find out what stats are good on all the commando weapons? I am so used to being a TKA I don't use the 'big guns' much

Im gonna see if i can help ya out here.


First off as far as I know, yes HPC is heavy particle beam canno, but im unsure if thats what you saw that yer lookin for.


RLs can be good, notice i said can because out of the (assumably not always) 30 shots maybe 14 or 15 will hit yer target. I buy all the HW i can, but only because im anticipating the CB, hehe


Lastly right now the only good weapon for a Commando as such (unless u invest in pistoleer skills galore) is a Flame thrower. Because of the imbalance most of my fellow commandos ive talked to, and i, carry 1 or 2 ( i carry 4) different Flame Thrower types. This is what I mean


I have one (i cant remember the stats exactly i posted em on the Flame Thrower Post) this is a 3.0 spd 888 max dmg i believe for speed kills and ive been told these r good for everyday kills, but I say the way u grind is up to u its just an opinoin, and duly noted hehe.

I have an extra speed FT (3.1 878 max dmg or something like that)

I have my particular choice in everyday grinding FT which is 4.8 spd 978 max dmg (or something like that)

and my fourth is my power hitter being a 5.3 spd 1133 max dmg (used when u just need to hit a little bit harder) the problem with these is, unlike most other professions (maybe cuz we're so slow we notice it) we miss alot therefore makin it a pain to attack with such a slow weapon, I only use this when i know im headed for a big PvE battle, just to start off a good first tick, then i switch to speed.


Anyway I hope that answers yer question.
