Ok i was dueling this imp and it was a good fight lasted about 10-15 minutes each bout, he was a master swordsman btw. It was a good fight but eventually my mind gave out so he incaped me twice, well anyway while we were fighting i thought of 2 things.
1. Why the heck can melee guys lunge for 20 meters and i can only use my specials at 16(again the range issue Garvin). Anyway I didnt like that but then the second thought hit me.
2. He was all burned up I had capped his wounds-example if you have 600 health normally you might have 2800 health with a buff but you can only take 599 wounds becasue you cant drop below your orginal health wound wise. Anyway i was thinking with the revamp on the doc buffs coming it would still only be 599 wounds but instead of it being 599 wounds out of 2800 it will be 599 wounds out of 1200. This in it self will make us a lot more valuble in pvp, its alot harder to spam stims when you are that close to your max. So even if the devs continue to forget about us, this will help us out alot.
Anyone have any other ideas on this?

Lunge is 20m range because of lag issues. Before it 'worked' melee classes had no chance vs ranged classes.. you just kept running in the opposite direction shooting and the melee ran behind them unable to hit them back.
I dont even know why commando has a flamethrower in the first place. Thats a bounty hunter weapon (movies, books).
Commando should have the E-Web instead of that fart lighter.

I've been wondering about your first question for nearly a year now myself...
I know that every time I've ever sparred IRL, I can't lunge 20 meters. I can lunge for 3 - 5 meters if I have to, but not 20. I'd be afraid to face someone with a flamethrower, but in SWG, carrying a flamethrower in PvP does nothing more than make you a big freakin' target.
I also can't out-damage a rocket launcher either, though a SWG TKM can.
