I am a master pistoleer, and interested in the pvp side of the game. I have almost finished marksman and need to be suggested where to go from here. I know I need unarmed and will do that. What will be the best choices for me? Oh, and I do have scout explorer and hunt already.

PvP you say? You're in the wrong forum, I'm afraid

Commandos aren't terribly effective in pvp.

But if you insist on going commando, the flamer line is pretty much all you'll need. The rest of the trees are near-useless.

I'm kind of new here and was wondering what is the best rifle on the market? Is there one that is best overall, or should i buy a couple depending on the target? any help would be great.

Thanks

Quick and easy answer is the one you're certified for and the mob is vulnerable/least resistant to. /examine is your friend.

Basically these days rifles are a little short on damage types. SG82 for cold, Jawa Ion Gun for stun, and everything else in the marksman line is energy. Some may seem useless but they've got some uses. The spraystick is a fast, close in gun useful for /warningshot. DLT20's are pretty solid, IMO. Not a huge variance in damage, decent speed, but lacking AP. These used to be the workhorses of the rifleman. Sure the laser has more punch but it was slow and had a knack to hit for min damage at the bad times. Now getting a laser up to speed is a little easier and they've become the go to weapon until you can get the T21 down to a tolerable speed. DXR-b's or whatever they're called are the new acid rifle. I haven't tried one as I'm not certed for it yet, but they do look quite good-and they replace the lost acid damage.

Its a good idea to carry around a decent selection of guns whenever you go out hunting. You never know when you run into a nasty with some odd resists.

Counter Sniping II is what I've heard. Its not listed on the tree but that's the word I gather from the rifleman board. They look to be solid guns I'm just taking my time getting anywhere in any of the professions. I'm not a fan of grinding and I'm out exploring and selling a few organics to pay the bills. If I wanted to work I wouldn't turn off my cellphone at night and get paid to do it instead of paying Sony.

Yes, it is a fact. I just looted one yesterday, and it says it in the description of looted versions. When you get to rifles 2, then buy a laser. You should get one with a speed slice. It should be one that is faster than the others on the vendor/bazaar. A spraystick is not worth buying IMO. Because a /pointblankarea1 focused on the lair of a creature or base for NPC's will never miss, there is no reason to buy a spraystick. Use a laser when you can. For rifleman, a T21 is good to have... AP 2 or 3, which increases damage, high damage, and speed can be negated with M Rifleman mods.

I'll have to disagree that a spraystick isn't useful. While a master rifleman may be capped with a T21 (with Master Marksman or Speed Tapes) a novice rifleman will need that spraystick to warn off any mobs that get close. Sure I could just mindlessly spam /pointblankarea1 with a T21 and kill stuff but that's a waste, if I wanted to be that close I'd be using my rifle as a bat not a firearm. But in these days of 2500, 3.5 hour buffs, and no 2.5X damage folks seem to have forgotten finesse and just use a sledgehammer for everything. Maybe I'm just "old fashioned" and this game has passed me by, but I can't help but think that most folks are in for a rude awakening when(if) the combat revamp gets posted and all the "Uber l337" gets nerfed and you'll actually need groups and learn why they put a ball-peen hammer higher in the skill tree than a 24lb sledge.
