Anyone know a good class action lawyer? It seems to be that some valid points were made about this being beta 4. I'd love to see if there is any basis for legal action...I mean $104 for the game and guide, plus $15 a month to play a class...heck a whole game that has more bugs then black flag roach motel.

There is little grounds for a lawsuit as technically theprofession does work. It just doesn't work in a manner that results in enjoyable gameplay. Sony could also argue that a player could choose another profession that is less broken if they don't like how the commando plays.

I'm not talking just limited to the profession. I know people in the Gaming Industry and the mentality of the devs is F****it , Ship it, Patch it. Is that really the way we as consumers should be treated. I'm not asking for a mericals here, just deliver what you promised. I'd still love to speak with a CA lawyer.

as good as it sounds guys, this kinda stuff will never work, and i hope never happens. our voice is in not playing the game if it gets to that point.

you get mmporg makers stiff thinking lawsuits would happen if people didnt like their game... we would run out.. no one would want to take the chance to make them.

guys there are better ways to get things to happen, dont look for the coffee is to hot attitude. that is the way of the spineless.

Just play another game. It's almost guaranteed that you can go to Best Buy, run around blindfolded, and pick any random game off the shelf and have more fun playing it than SWG. Even if it's Barbie Fasion Designer.

I,m a lawyer in real life, and trust me, you have no ground for action whatsoever.

1) The TOS you sign specifically states you accept this game in the state it is.

2) You have to prove, in a CAL, that you are having a prejudice resulting from a fault comitted by SOE. Being unsatisified with a class is not a prejudice, its merely a disagreement.

3) The first month with all the disconnect could be ground for a CAL if you did pay for it, but you didn't.

4) A CAL would costs way more than 104 $, so you are losing there also.

Actually this does need to happen once. If it was anything other then an online game someone would have sued a long time ago. I really want to see an online game that does this kind of thing get what it deserves that might actually get the suits, who apparently pushed this game out the door, to maybe hold off a little bit longer so that the developers can make sure their game is ready for the market.

A lawyer won't help. Neither will quitting (they'll just hear less complaints). But posting comments on game review sites, software retailer sites (e.g. Amazon), and even SWG fan sitesmight help make the displeasure public and affect sales.

Something being done would be nice.
