They Silently Nerfed Dodge & now we dont get a DoT if atarget dodges a flamespecial.

That's not really a nerf, that's more of a bug-fix than anything else. If you dodge something, how is it going to hurt you at all?

Well, it's hard to dodge a bunch of fire coming at you... I mean sure maybe you avoid the direct hit, but you'll still catch on fire.

Yeah, but since the fire DoT uses the same code as any other state affect in the game, it makes sense, otherwise it'd be a nightmare setting up only FT DoT's to land even if they are dodged.


IMO the best way to do it would be in an eventual FT revamp (as was posted on this forum recently) where the FT attacks are guaranteed to always hit, but with different damage ranges on the weapon depenging on how close your oponent is (with max range capping around 32-48m away.)


If it were possible to do that, the dodging fire wouldn't really be an issue, since it would be impossible. It'd be a logical change, though I doubt we see something like that in the foreseeable future.

I think the easiest way to fix it would be to make Flame Cone 1 & 2a guaranteed DoT, but much less damage than Flame Single 1 & 2. So Flame Cone would be blanketing the area in front of you just to set everything on fire, and Flame Single would be to deal insane amounts of damage.

Why should a target that dodges a stream of fire headed at them still be aflame? And why could you drop 1 line and keep master? Sounds pretty dumb to me.

Im not here to discuse commando issues but to ask a question, are you TH or Garvin? Why did you post anything here?


But when I'm a little frustrated and write a bad post I get blasted by the Correspondent.

Hmm, I'm just curious, but what does dropping the acid line have to do with dodge negating the FT DoT anyways?

why is the acid rifle even in the game... REALLY... lol its not like ANYONE uses it in pvp... only thing its good for is if something is low acid res and high heat res. and still i'd rather use flamer
