A Commando Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the base

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The mistells were hung by the chat with miscare,

In hopes that St. Starnick soon would be there.

The jedi were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of master lightsaber techniques danced in their heads.

And mama in her kerchief, and I in my warm hat,

Had just settled down for a long sandstorm nap.

When out on the wind swept sand dunes arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my red bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the viewport I flew like a carrion spat,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sabersash.

The twin moons on the breast of the new swepted sand

Gave the luster of midday to objects below,

When what to my /searching eyes should appear

But a miniature X-34 Landspeeder ere and eight tiny ReignAvatars,

With a little old commando so lively and quick;

I knew in a moment it must be St. Starnick.

More rapid than Nerfs his coursers they came,

And he whistled and shouted and called them by avatar:

"Now, Daka! Now, neeah! Now, Stern and Fayethe! On, Evelas! On, Nidbanikeri! On, bugumaan and Chiirynotarr!

To the top of the base wall! To the top of the command center!

Now, /gallop away, /gallop away, /gallop away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild sandstorm fly.

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.

So up to the basetop the coursers they flew.

With a sleigh full of C-4's, and St. Starnick, too.

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof

The prancing and exploding of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head and was turning around, down the chimney St. Starnick came with a gunblazing bound.

He was dressed all in spec ops gear from his swoop helm to his tusken boots,

And his clothes were all dusty with ashes and flamethrower soot.

A bundle of C-4's he had flung on his back,

And he looked like an Anchorhead Spammer just opening his sack.

His eyes, how they twinkled! His dimples, how cheerful!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a proton!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a launcher pistol,

And the beard on his chin was as white as a gernade flash.

The pin of his smoke gernade he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.

He had a broad face and a little round belly

That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old commando,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.

A wink of his eye, a twist of his trigger

Soon gave me to know I had much to dread.

He spoke not a word but went straight to work.

And set the charges, then turned with a jerk.

And laying his finger aside of his flamethrower

And giving a /nod, up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his X-34 speeder, to his team gave a /yell,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good fight!"

This is early, but who cares? Its Christmas coming up for pete's sake, and soon too I might add! Hope all the commandos have a good holiday! (I sure will! )
