I'm working my way up the 40k combat xp til novice commando on Eclipse, and much to my dismay my grenade cert is BORKED. Instead of having the C12 Frag Grenade cert, I have the "Light Fragmentation GrenadeAgmentation Light" certification. I've written a CS ticket and I hope they'll eventually do something about it, but until then I'm stuck getting combat xp the really crappy old fashioned way. Any suggestions on what I should be doing?

thats the cert I had befor novice commando. Did you try C12s anyway? They should work. If your not certified youll only get a damage of 5.

Make sure your getting decent crafted C12s also. I say at least 800 damage. If any grenade is less than that they arent crafted well.

light fragmentation grenade cert = c12.

when you get novice commando you get a different frag grenade cert, which is c22.

only commando has +grenade accuracy mods (broken) so dont expect to hit with c12s a lot.

I seem to hit using C12s 100% but it only does 15 damage (with 150-500 damage grenades?!?!) and it tells me I'm not certed for it. I hope the devs get around to fixing my cert...

Oh, and I've noticed that ranger traps that deal damage increase the amount of combat xp without actually GIVING combat xp. Weird, huh?

Standing at ideal range with an engaged target should lead to a LOT of direct hits.

no pada, even at ideal range you will miss 7 to 8 out of 10 times.

even at master level, using grenades is more for fun and showmanship than anything else.

No, you won't. Trust me. Look at my sig...

I use C12's more than anyone probably. I supply more grenades than anyone on Radiant and people are always very happy when I inform them of the proper way to use grenades. If you're standing still, at Ideal Range, you will NOT miss 7 to 8 out of 10 times. As a matter of fact, if 2 targets are standing next to each other, you could technically hit about 12-15 times on 10 tosses. That's right, you'll hit more targets than grenades thown.
