Commando Archive

Seems like these days you can't read a combat profession forum without seeing a post to NERF some other professions (not all prefessions are this way of course). Commandos on the other hand, I've not yet seen us ask for another Profession to be NERF'd...instead we analyze our own profession and offer up/ask for fixes to improve our own profession. We even go as far to analyze our own strengths and as "Are we too powerful?"...we monitor ourselves.

We could all sit here and complain about kiters...then offer up NERF suggestions to help us deal better (like NERF mind shots...or Ranged Specials...etc)...No...we look at our own weaknesses and DO NOT blame them on other professions...

YES...we have a powerful dot...but YES it does have it's limitations put on it to manage a powerful DOT of it's nature...is it perfect? NO...is it too powerful? Possibly...but we commandos are famous of asking for NERF's to ourselves when WE FEEL we are too powerful...and we are looking into the issue as a Community...

But we are also being realistic...we are not going to NERF our only good weapon UNTIL we have other routes we can take...that would be suicidal and stupid...Those folks outside our profession calling for a Commando NERF can't see the big picture through their rose colored glasses...the see something that is dangerous to them and scream NERF instead of looking into ways of making their own profession be able to deal with the issue...

So again...thank you to you all...you make me very proud...

I have said it before and I will say it again. Commando class has some of the most intelligent, loyal, and helpful players in SWG.

You will find little to no destructive conversations about other classes coming from the masters of this class. Occassionaly you will hear frustration in our voices over other classes cries to injure our class. We are perplexed by the nerf herders who cry for our emasculation but have never played the role of commando.

Commandos rock. We have been knocked down repeatedly and yet we pick ourselves up again and again. We have no illusions of "Uber" yet we inspire fear. We have no illusions of grandure yet we cast a long shadow.

No sniveling, no whining, no crying to nerf. Just bring the A##&$%es on and let the chips fall where they may. THAT is a COMMANDO.

I agree completely.

An second the motion, no changes to the flamethrower until all our weapons are working, I have a lot of skill points sunk into two trees (gernades and acid rifle) that I can find very little reason to use.

Sorry had to be done. From my sig you can see I am a tailor but my second toon is a budding commando. Nice post Garvin and I have to say this forum does have far less whinners and nerf herders than the rest.
