Thread: Just a thought of who we are, who the devs are, and where we stand.

Probably the same reason only two people responded to the post I spent half on hour typing up on an effective way to completely redesign the profession and balance it at the same time.
Other professions get response from the devs because they are substantially less bitter about it.
Our money is worth less because of all the complaints and negativity associated with it.
If you sold apples and one guy always complained about the apple, and degraded you for not selling better apples, I am sure you would continue to give him the worst apple in the store.
This is business, run by normal folks, as such they fix the things that they feel need fixing. This subjective approach toward repair includes a like/dislike factor. If they dislike something, they will avoid and not fix it.
I have a user on my network who complains daily, asks why others get their problems fixed, and is a general pain in the a--. Do you think I hop to it, and run to fix his problems? H--- no. He is at the very bottom of my list, and I only fix his crap if its christmas and I am bored of typing on forums.
How can we expect the devs to react in a manner better than we would?
Would you be anxious to help the guy who complains all the time, and is a general pain in the b---?
Maybe we should start posting in the Chef or CM forums... They get plenty of attention there!

Sorry, but that's an assumption. The facts are, we're currently still just finishing transition from the old correspondent, who left out of frustration of nothing getting done (and another left before him for the same reason) - this is why our Top 5 issues and their responses have not been looked at yet. Furthermore, if you look at most of the other combat professions, they have relatively little contact with the devs as well, so the statement that we get less responses is also BS.
Quite frankly, a good portion of the other combat professions are just as bitter, if not moreso. Acting civil is good and necessary, but you have to face the facts that we effectively only have one skill line worth using right now - 3/4 of the profession has been broken since release.
This forum is full of constuctive posts if you would care to look, but guess what? Those don't have any dev responses either.
To put it bluntly, NO combat class is going to see much input from developers until publish 7 rolls onto TC. Please stop blowing this issue up out of proportion and blaming it on negativity of those who frequent this forum, as that's nothing more than a scapegoat.
Combat classes are all currently undergoing identity counseling and development, so I suggest that whatever you think the profession should ideally be, you express in the In Concept thread where the developers can see our constructive ideas.
Yes, I would fix the cry baby's network problem. Why? To get rid of the noise. Why put up with it? Is it a problem thats simple like his NIC is just broken? or the CAT5 is bad?
