I am looking for advice on dealing with Super Battle Driods. I have been beating my head on them for a while now in the DWB and I just can't seem to figure out how to pull it off.
I know, the common advice is to just avoid them, but I want to learn how to destroy them.
Anyone? Ideas? Suggestions?

What's your Template? I'm a TKM/MC/Novice Medic. There are a few ways to take one down, none of them are easy. First off you want them to go Melee on you, they'll kill you in a matter of seconds when they are ranged. You need a tank that can handle the beating while you sit in the background and land Dots on the SBD. You can land about 4 DOTs and get a real good tick going. After you get the Dots going you'll just have to serve as support with either a HAR or something that the SBD dosen't have 100% to. Use a Damage sliced FT to get the best DOT. Also in the begining stages of the Bunker just use the "Drag em out the Door tactic" /taunt as many as you can and get them to follow you. Make sure you left your bike out and know where it is. Have em follow you out the door, jump on your bike and just drive off into the forest. They run fast. Keep hitting /peace until you disengage and just head back to the bunker. Only do this in the beginning part of the bunker just to speed things up, or if you have a large group just beat the crap out of it. 10 of my guildies managed to make it reasonably far into the bunker by using this tactic. Happy Hunting, before the Weapon Switch Delay it was possible to Solo a SBD, but now sadly it just takes way to long. Also make sure you have an extra set of armor for when you are deeper into the bunker.

well when the dwb first went live the way i would do it is i would run down as far as i cooud, (door a/b/etc... everythign that was agro on me i would intim+stack all my dot's then switch to pistols and stack those dot', then feign death. the mobs would walk back to their posts, and would continue to burn. id be in a room without sbd spawns so as not to supercharge the spawn rate by standing there idle, and when i would get up the mobs would run back, id reapply the same strategy,a dn when clear i would move on. (very time consuming but very effective). thats basicaly how i took careof just about anythign i souclnt run around and kite or kill quickly for the better part of the last year as far as pve is concerned. I basicaly couldnt put up with the flame tree in the state it is anymore though and finally dropped commando to pick upkm a while ago though.the same strategy should work just fine, as it worked perfectly before specials were removed in the first place. I still think pistoleer is worse off then commando, and i was both since the early days ( i leveled commando with non cert guns originally before it was fixed whcich is far greater then the jedi grind especially without buffs and good armor lol.)
hopefully that should help out a bit, but it involves some dabbling. also, novice medic is a must with 450 or higher str stim b's (probably about 8 -10 loose stacks for a serious solo venture)

By now i consider myself a vetran of the DWB, i lead groups down and we have crafted both mando and jetpacks. The commando Flame DOT is the single greatest weapon when dealing with SBD's. Solo your pretty much out of luck, but in a group, the Flame DOTs do more damage than any other person, so it helps take them down extremely fast.

just wondering if someone can explain how to land 4 dots? is it by using 4 different flame throwers while stacking the fire dot?

No boss... no.
You get 4 dots on an enemy by using four different flame attacks.
Flame Single 1
Flame Cone 1
Flame Single 2
Flame Cone 2
Each one gives its own DoT and if you get all of them on there, its oh so very nice

I thought they changed dot stacking months ago, such that you could only use one flamethrower DOT at a time with the most powerful one overiding a lower one. It was my understanding that you could only hit a mob with your best fire dot, then your healthshot bleed, or mind bleed. I guess I will have to test this on TC-Ahazi while I still can.

Thanks for the input, seeing that I am already MSmuggler, I might have to actually go do the Flame n' Feign idea. I managed to make it pretty far into the DWB solo, just, well, cause I wanted to try.
And the concept of running by, flame/feign far enough away actually sounds like it might work, or at least give me the advantage I need to pick things apart instead of going toe to toe with something that will simply kill me outright.
Thanks

I recently used some accurate Acid Stream Launchers on them (medium armor piercing) in the Corellian Corvetteand had pretty good results. Better than I expected and way more recommended than FT's (no armor piercing and higher heat resist). They are probably on par with the LLC if you don't have that tree...but the trick is that they need to be made accurate. You should have your weaponsmith make you a set with experimentation points geared towards their accuracy so that you can actually hit those things.
