Thread: Tired of D-Stacking- looking for things to Burn =D

Ive had it with my damn D-stacking template. Sure I dodge most attacks. sure I can tank most anything. But im tired of standing there absorbing hits while everyone else is having all the fun. I want things to explode, go boom, combuste in flames, distengrate in xplosive glory, have there molecular bonds ripped apart. I want to make loud noisey and big flashy and hot deathy stuff to rain onto my enemies burnt and charred corpses from the sky!!!!! I dont care If you can put me on my back just as long as I can make things go Booooom, REALLY REALLY VIOLENTLY!!!!

Ahem, so. I am droping my Defense stacking template and going comando and my question is how to most effectively do this. I am curently one skilltree short of being a master pistoler, and was wondering If mastering pistoler first would help when I acheive novice comando as I would have acces to all the pistol mods and specials to use with the launcher pistol. Would that be a good method for getting xp untill I gets me hot fiery burning liquid death dispersing mechanisim?

Im planning on going Master Comando, and then pistols 0040 for its defenses. Then its a tossup between fencer 0440, or fencer 0240 and medic 0010. Ok so im not totaly over D-staking =P But that doesent lessen my desire for mayhem and destruction =D

they pistolleer mods will Definately help you get heavy wep xp using the launcher pistol.

No doubt grinding with launcher if you already have pistol mods is going to be the fastest bet for ya, if you can get past the lag.

you sound like most commandos heh! good luck! if you have pistol skills use the launcher until flame 3. that's the standard advice everyone gives, cause it works.

Hmmmmm......well I can go for that. BBQ'ing people till they get that nice tasty crunchy crispy burnt skin is just as much fun. Got sauce?

acctually, if you do have pistol skills you'll be better off getting Flames 4 and as much HevWeps as you can before dropping whatever pistol skills you plan on dropping and only switching to the FT after you get your hands on one with <3 speed or about 4 speed and 1200+ damage.

Good defenses, stim C, and all unarmed state attacks + KD + mediation

Here's what I am now.


Commando 4040

Teras Kasi Master

Pistols 0040

Medic 2100


I still have 5 SP that I will probably eventually use for melee acc and spd. I wanted to try something different and the extra 29 SP from the commando tree was awfully tempting. My flames are just as fast and I don't really notice the -30 loss in accuracy. Field tactics are still fun to have for nades and can help as support for attacks on jedi. TKM is just awesome. I love meditate and with master you really deal a ton of damage. Right now this game is (sad to say) melee biased. I love hunting with my flamers first but if you start to get into trouble, switching to the VK is great. Pistols is simply for the extra defenses and really help beef up the template, but it is also nice to use a DX-2, LP, or Republic Blaster once in a while. I went for 2100 medic for the /firstaid ability to heal bleeding in combat. I debated over using Stim Cs but on my server they seem rather hard to come by and not really worth it. I can get some really good quality Bs and the +30 IT helps.


So far I am really liking this template. I haven't done much PvP with it yet but I haven't done much PvP at all so I'm just not very good. If I eat some thakitilo(sp?) I'm all but impervious to knockdown.

I dont really wanna go TK if i can avoid it. I was a TKM a while ago and it was fun, but I really wanna A). Stay away from melle profesions, except for there state defenses and i think the fencer state defenses are better, and B). be ready for when the combat upgrade hits and comandos take there place as the elite make things go die quickly profesion. Stim c's are very tempting however....

well.... imo the pistel tech line is the best line for defenses to get +40 vs. dizzy/stun/blind, +50 vs KD +20 vs. posture down in one single tree is hard to beat.


Also going TK iso fencer saves you valuable SP as you already have unarmed IV as prereq for commando


To grind commando it's true that nothing is faster than fanshotting with the LP

Ahh, I have recently felt the same way and decided to work on a new character to fit my death and destruction ideals. Of course he had to be Trandoshan because, well, that just seems like the right race for a looney running around with a falmethrower and high explosives... at the same time
