Well its way to early to even try and figure things out for a new template among the Combat Revamp. Nerfing the "STACK" is going to be a wild road to try and figure out with lower defences. Seems dizzy will ruin alot of peoples days in the revamp since defence for this attack will be non-stackable and combat equilibrium will be lowered among the masses. I just hope we don't get one main bandwagon template that everyone will jump on. I have been on TC-Gorath the pass few days and testing ideas out. The Combat Revamp will mix alot of things up. Its hard to test alot of things out due to the fact that on TC the stack is still active and you cant combine FS skills. Well this is the template I am looking at in its early stages. I love Pikeman and want to keep it badly. Give me advice on my template, I am open to hear your words.

Master Pikeman
TK 4000
Brawler 4004
Master Markmans
Commando 0440
Master Combat Prowness

I look at this template like if I am creating an Imperial Royal Guard. Rifleman could be added too. Takes alot of skill points, but TK meditate is key to have for the Power Boost and self heal.

I look at it like this. My attack would be: Warcry, Intimidate, DOT lance/pike attack with lunge-spin-stun, and weapon switch to flamethrower for more DOT damage.

Seita: "The Iron Maiden" Loyal Imperial Panzer.
Shadmare: old school Master Creature Handler (semi-retired).

3+ year Scylla veteran (8/03). Vanguard here I come!
Served: LOD/MOD/MODSF/AEDI/DTOS/KV

Be an interesting combo. Don't forget that you do have a weapon switch delay in there. As far as defense stacking going away, its going away in its current but it doesn't mean there will be no defense stacking. The idea is to not allow for a invulenrable template. Actually from what little hints ahve been thrown out there it sounds like there will a larger variety of stacking offense and defense. My guess and only guess as I'm not one of the privilidged ALPHA testers is that defensive caps will keep the current defense situation in check the inability to stack. Anyway one of our ALPHA nobles maybe able to set this old peasant straight if I'm wrong on that.

BTW Garvin said Commando/Pikeman would be an interesting combo post revamp though he couldn't say why NDA. But that should atleast say there will be some complimentayr items there.

I would advise for commando 4/0/4/0 : consumables are not so hot (well, can be but... not realy right now) and you would get the ranged mitigation (plus some bonus and 'nade cert but,... well as for consumable...).
