Thread: I think im actually doing less dmg with my flamethrower
After seeing these new improvements I actually think the commando profession is worse.
I worked up my pistoleer tree so I can solo the same snorbal missions I have been doing to work up my pistoleer xp to make my heavy weps xping easier. However with the new HIGHER HAM costs I can no longer kill the snorbals as before. Yes I now do get heavy weps xp and a little bit of pistol xp, however, I can no longer kill the same targets without using a ton of stims and major downtime.
Devs took away the narg lair dungeon for commandos xping.
Devs took away the jax lair missions for commando xping.
Devs took away biz nitche missions for commando xping.
Devs severly increase HAM cost of styles which greatly reduces the chance of killing the same targets we have been doing. So giving us heavy weps xp when using launcher pistol and using pistoleer styles is worthless now. gg devs way to screw us.
Thats why it works great on tuskens, rebels/imps, and other NCPs but on every other kind of creature it sucks.
Thats also why if you are alone without a pet when you use a heavy weapon on an NCP they take out their melee weapons and charge you.
Works on anything. Gualamala's, durnis, butterflies, etc.. I do know of someone who used flame single on an npc with a rifle, and he did like 2500 damage on the initial blast. Keep in mind that with a minimum damage so low, some shots will be far less damaging than others. Most of mine have been 900-1200, with a dot of 300-400. There were a few times (not very often) that the damage was more around 300. With such a variation between min and max damage, thats going to happen (mine is 33-260 or so). However, with the crafting fixes on adv components not adding experimentation properlyand other fixes, our current heavy weapons are going to have much lower stats than any built after the patch. The same goes with the other high-end weapons. Thats why everbody'sbeen using scout blasters and FWG5's instead of DX2's, Republic blasters, etc.. Nobody else has been complaining about it because it doesnt really effect them like it does us. The other combat professions dont have to use weapons with advanced components, but we do. Of course the weaponsmiths dont mind, because that means people will keep buying weapons as the crafting bugs get fixed and the quality of the "rare" resources go up over time with more turnovers.
