On the flame single 1 inital hit I tend to do 900-1200 damage, with the dot at 300-400 every five sec or so (never timed it).

One quick question: Does the flame thrower fire dot stack with a pistol body bleed shot? In other words, can I do a body bleed shot with the launcher pistol then follow it up with a flamethrower burn shot and leave the target double-dotted?

I have a feeling they don't stack, but it's worth asking. If they do stack, that combination would be pretty nice.

On a related question, is the flamethrower burn dot just against the red Health bar, or does it damage random bars?

I would guess they do stack since even the bleed shot itself, healthshot 1 and 2 can be stacked. It wouldn't make sense to allow a stronger version of the same shot to stack yet not allow a completely different shot from a different weapon to stack.

yes, it stacks with helath shot. Keep in mind it has a 10-15 sec recovery time, do the dps is not that high.

I assume flame single 2 does more dps

One pet peave and I could be wrong but BHs get a fire shot that gives a DOT effect and even a graphic of them being on fire. Shouldn't the flame thrower be the one that catches the target on fire? Maybe it does and i just haven't seen it yet with my default attack shot.

I played with this a bit last night. 900-1200 damange? YEAH RIGHT. I've hit for upwards of 1300 or whatever. which is cool. But thats like 1% of the time. the other 99% is made up from misses and damage around the 200-500 range. Which is unacceptable. These are heavy weapons. They should hit heavy. 1200 isn't heavy since I hit for way over that iwht my launcher pistol and stopping shot

I would like to stress that heavy weapons have a HUGE delay on special attacks. Time inbetween flame shots is 20 seconds. Thats a lot of time where you cant do anything. The dev's justification is that the special moves make up for it. Negative on that one. 1200 is not a lot of damage. I would expect it to be over what a rifleman can do... over 3k a shot. Maybe atleast have a bonus to damage when attacking lairs or structures?\

Flame DOT. Flame hits for 33.3% of what the flame hit damage was, and burns every 10 seconds. Last night I hit for exactly 1000 dmg and the burn was 333 each 10 seconds. Thankfully The dots are stackable. Get a bleed going with the launcher pistol, bust out the flame thrower and make them burn, then get out the HAR and get an acid dot on them.

This combo is useless on little creatures as they are dead if you can hit them. But on larger creatures get some good bleeds going and they're fall down faster. Maybe this is how they intendedcommandos to be played, or maybe I just gave them an excuse to fall back on.

Also, pistol bleed. I'm not sure of the bleed from health shot, i think it's every 20 seconds. But for those of you that dont know... bleed hits for the damage you shot them for. So if you hit a body shot for 200.. shoot them again until you get a good 500 hp bodyshot in so they will loose 500 every 20 instead of 200.
