I only have enough skill points left to train one tree of the Commando Profession. I was wondering what I should train in? I would like to know what weapon consistantly does a lot of damage and is effective in combat.

Read the posts here and you will find that the Flame Thrower is the weapon of choice

And the Launcher Pistol, but there is no tree for that one.

Share the game love.

Although you probably won't get much advice from certain "grizzled" commandos who hate dabblers....the flame tree is the best way to go...but just be aware that you'll suck until you get to probably flame3...

What's your main profession...I took novice pistoleer as one of my secondaries so I could combine healthshot2 with the Launcher Pistol...thinking of taking it up to double tap...that should make the Launcher Pistol pretty worthwhile as a secondary weapon (fast speed and decent damage...and includes a bleedshot)...

I am a smuggler and am looking to add commando so that I can help take over bases.

I was originally looking at a commando/smuggler combinations...seemed like a great way to save on slicing all weapons and armor...plus there is a couple of nice moves in the smuggler tree...but in the end it seemed like to much work for something that I didn't feel would round out my character enough...

Now I'm looking at a combination of Pistoleer and CH to round out Commando...Pistoleer for the Launcher Pistol (until we get some specials of our own for the LP)...and CH to use the critters as Tanks/Decoys...but knowing me I'll probably change my mind on that again...Master Commando is the only thing I know for sure...

The flame thrower is nice, but it is useless at range other than against rifleman and that is only caused by heavy weapons currently being melee weapons.

I personally like the launcher pistol, but I use it with my smuggler pistol tree specials.

But I get the feeling they don't care.
