I just got novice commando, I bought a launcher pistol for around 10k if I recall correctly. Now I only have 24k credits left and still need to but a flamethrower, granades(if they get fixed),acid rifle and maybe a rocket launcher. My question is, does anyone know a good way to get credits as a commando, being a novice I can only do lvl 12 missions and they only pay around 1k-1.5k credits per misson. I was wondering if there were planets that give more lucrative missions that are soloable at a novice lvl with just novice pistoleer skills and novice commando skills.

Also while doing rebel faction missions to improve rank, do the missions pay out any more at higher ranks or does the pay stay the same through out your journey up the ranks.

Any suggestions would help

well if you get a flamethrower and equip it you can get level 25 missions on any of the starter planets.....it takes no skill what so ever to get high level missions, just a bigger gun...which is stupid.

On faction missions opinions seem to be split some believe that higher rank gives higher paying missions (i don't) from personal experience its all wep skill based, get a flamer asap even some crappy junk one with it equipped and nov commando you can pull much higher missions than 12.

I tend to pull reb missions from moenia, with FT equipped look for missions to the east at about 800 meters paying 5K they never spawn at-st's.

Now there gonna be tough with just nov pistoleer/nov commando if you see one going cheap get a non-ch pet (they die constantly but there a good distraction). These missions will usually spawn 3 high lvl imp npcs (captains and such). My usual tactic is to send the pet then while there aggro on that go around doing flame specials, this won't work for you till you get flame1 (and even then its hard as accuracy sucks at flame1) so if and its a fairly big if you can pick up a flamer of any description for pulling the missions and a crappy pet as distraction do healthshot1/2 (and at least one normal shot) on all the imp npcs then kite and let them bleed out.

This will be very slow and your probably better off pulling the crappy 1-1.5K missions as there easy as pie and you can complete them in nothing flat. Good tip for doing the lowbie missions fast is to go straight to the lair and spam pointblankarea1 you kill the lair and the defenders in nothing flat and the mobs are so low lvl they barely put a dent in you.

I can't be much more help on non faction missions i'm afraid as i rarely do themfaction is worth alot more to me than cash (my opinions would probably be different if my good friend wasn't a wepsmith that gave me free stuff lol) and i don't know the current 'trick' mission that pays out a ton and is easy (there usually is one lol)

enpearlsolger, for you comment on /jointhebandwagon i just bought this game a month ago...commando has been my only goal so pls spare ur flaming for someone that switches classes just for the good weapons. Sorry I havent been playing this game since release but up untill recently the game has basicly been a beta version.

As for the others that helped. Thx I'll try your ideas once I get enough cash for a flamer. As of right now I am running explo missions outside mos eisley for worts/rills by equiping a knife and picking the mission. Takes a little long but still 4k credits on average.
