i've never even seen anyone use one in game before. can some of you relay ur experiences with them? maybe what you 've used them to attack and how u did. At-At's, krayts, rancors etc.. thanks. i was considering trying to go up that skill tree.

rocket launchers are nice, but slow you get an equal and faster weapon using a beam cannon, but you have to take into consideration that some npcs have special protection against blast(rocket launcher) and against electricity(beam cannon)I have only use a RL cause I am finishing out my flame tree first before going into the RL Tree...but it does about 3k-4k dammage against at-st but misses a lot cause I have no accuracy with it. hope that helped

The subject says it all... Novice commando here and I picked up 2 of these for 50k each yesterday. They are slow, haven't hit all that often, have a limited number of shots and kill my HAM faster than what I'm attacking does. By what I have seen, I would have to say the rockets are a poor weapon compared to my other options. Anyone have success or a situation in which these things are vital?
Thanks!

They're only really worth it at master, and even then only if you have an extensive budget. In all practicality you can do more damage with pistoleer 0040 and a LP against everything but an AT-AT.

Nah, I send em downrange at any imp that I know for sure doesn't have a stacked defence template, pisses them right off.

They can be pretty effective if they hit. But even at master we still miss far too often.

Yeah, but can't you do that with HPBC's too for a fraction of the cost? Albeit the accuracy is penalized some and less people have blast resistance than energy resistance.

Usually people get 2 kinetic and an energy layer in their pvse suit of comp, so if they wore that in pvsp they would have slightly better energy resist than blast. I think more people use rockets rather than HPBC's thou because the accuracy is a huge factor, you want as much as you can get when firing heavies. That would be cool if they gave us a heavy weapon that caused stun damage, i think that would even out the pvsp playing field a lot. It would also get us lots of nerf cries though lol, just look at whats happening to rifleman right now.

Are they worth it in PvP? I don't think so anymore.
Only time to really use them in PvP is when there is chaos going on, people are bunched up, and no one really has you targeted.
Otherwise, they are just a very slow, expensive, HAM killing nuisance. I don't know how many times I'll miss someone 2 or 3 times, only to hit them on the 4th try and do some crap 600 damage. (600 in my window, before their mitigation/armor/all that). Against a buffed opponent, they aren't worth the time delay, especially now that our initial damage with FT is higher.
It also pisses me off when some barechested karate guy "Blocks" this friggin rocketthat is screaming towards him...

One way I use RL's are when people are on bikes, and running....hit the bike with a RL for a couple K of dmg (I've done no less than 3k on them), and then dmg splashed over to the rider. Never hurts, pi55es them off, and gets 2 birds with one stone.
