Thread: Some HAR Testing and numbers
FlameThrower (FT)-
- Speed: 3.1
- Min Dmg: 451
- Max Dmg: 846
- Wound: 18.8%
- Special Attack Cost: Health-74, Action-17, Mind-17.
- Sliced for speed
Heavy Acid Rifle (HAR)-
- Speed: 3.6
- Min Dmg: 331
- Max Dmg: 750
- Wound: 35.8%
- Special Attack Cost: Health-89, Action-54, Mind-18.
- Sliced for speed
Our willing test subject is the Ikopi on naboo, it has no armor and no resists to any dmg type (vulnerable to stun it says on the examine window.... /shrug).
FT- /flamesingle2: Dmg done to the Ikopi- 6669. Number that floated over my head- 14. For the cost of 14 HAM i was able to obliterate an ikopi with 6669 dmg.
HAR- /acidsingle2: Dmg done to the Ikopi- 3506. Number that floated over my head- 175. For the cost of 175 HAM i was able to kill the ikopi with 3506 dmg.
So basically it costs me 161 more HAM to do 3163 less dmg with the HAR than with the FT.
Just incase you all are curious.. here's my stat setup HAM-wise:
- Health- 800
- Strength- 650
- Constitution- 700
- Action- 800
- Quickness- 450
- Stamina- 400
- Mind- 750
- Focus- 500
- Willpower- 500
- Race- Sexy Lizard
I think the HAR needs a bit more work still. Costs way too much HAM wise, does diddly squat dmg wise, and is still too slow speed wise. If the HAR had Medium AP (AP2) i would have done around 5400 dmg (if my math in regards to the way ap works is right)to the Ikopi. It still wouldnt be up there dmg wise with the FT, but it would give us a great alternative to the FT. As it stands now, id rather go unarmed than fight with the HAR (still going to try it tonight tho).
The HAR is getting there but we have a little bit to go.

Is that at Master?
I would still like to see some numbers as to damage and speed wise on a larger creature though. I know before the patch I had almost a 25 second timer before I could preform another action after an acid cone 2.
That is not at master, i only have Flame 4 and HAR 4. From what i can tell, the only thing im missing is accuracy (each attack above hit on the first attempt). The HAM costs and dmg output for both attacks would be the same whether i was a master or not.
I plan on testing the HAR against some higher end creatures later on tonight.
