To sort of play up the SpecOps concept of commandos, I think we should get just 3 things in addition to our specialized weaponry and Unarmed Combat skills:


1. A /stealth command that expires after a short while (30-60 seconds or so) This would have the effect of causing NPC's not to notice us and mute the sound effect of our footsteps to other players. simple enough

2. Black-Out Emitter-This is apiece of equipment (good candidate for that empty "electronics" category you always see in the bazaar and have no clue what it's for) When equipped, the commando could set the emitter on a toggle with something like /jam or /blackout. This would have the effect of making the Commando disappear from Radar for a limited time. Used with the above /stealth command this could make a commando virtually invisible for short periods to players and NPC's alike....unless they were in the direct line of sight.

3. Real Explosives-you know the kind on a timer. the commando would get a different type of weapon which would show up in his inventory. He would be able to use the radial menu or a chat command to drop it and set a timer in the location he is standing or kneeling.

/setcharges <time>


This would have a HUGE amount of damage but only useable once per purchase. this should do damage to anything that is destroyable in the blast radius, including players and NPC's.


These 3 things could make Commando more like, well, a Commando, and less like a Marine. , but I'm not suggesting we get rid of our cool weaponry or unarmed combat etc in exchange. :-)
