Commando should be the only profession with a ranged knockdown. They should use a kind of concusion grenade to do it. that is all.

Maybe, but then Pistoleers need some love, and pistol whip is more or less their best working special atm

I've always wanted to see Commandos get a sort of "knock back" ability...not only a kd, but it moves them back like 10 or 15m...You would think our explosions would occasionally "throw" someone...The way I see it, the KD would be very temporary (like they'd be able to get right back up with no problem) but it would also cause a stun status effect along with push the target back a random number between 5 to 15m...

Ya know, I'm sure most of you have gotten at least a bit of adrenoline watching the Star Wars Republic Commando trailer...and as unfeasable as it is (due to artwork and obviouse balance issues) it would be just AWESOME to toss a grenade and see bodies fly!

ah.. I miss my commando...

personally, I'd like to see commando pick up a line of melee attacks (useable with a weapon equipped, like nades are) in the field tactics tree.

Something like:

Bodycheck:
The commando and his gear carry a lot of momentum. Smart commandos put this momentum to work against their opponents.
-Knockdown, stun

Weapon disarm:
When in close ranges, the commando can use the weight and bulkiness of his weapons against his opponent's.
-Successful hit unequipes opponents current weapon.

Advanced Weapon Disarm
-Unequips opponents weapon and posture change down.

Advanced Bodycheck
-Knockdown, Stun, Dizzy, chance that if it misses, the player knocks themselves down.

I think it would be nice if our heaviest of grenades, caused a KD/dizzy effect. Obviously there never going to be "real" grenades, because they would be too powerful. So instead of doing HAM damage, why not make them do powerful status damage.

For people who don't know it:

FIRE KNOCKDOWN: This ranged attack blasts the target with a quick rush of flame aimed at their upper body, which can cause them to bowled over by the sheer force directed at them, causing them to become dizzy as well.

Now if anyone can give an explanation why it ended up as the Bounty Hunter Carbines III special...go ahead

I had the same thought. Yes, a grenade or something fired from the Launcher Pistol

You can use suppression fire with your flame throwers. I do remember using that to gain ground on some melee classes.
