Thread: LLC vs FT which is better

I have been a master CH pretty much since the beginning of SWG and used Commando 0040 as my additional specialty. I have been considering switching from Commando 0040 to BH 0004 and was hoping for some input for which is better (I really only PVE). The main reason for this is that I want to gain the Skill Pts to use for the merchant class to sell off loot.


Let me know your thoughts........LLC or FT?

Depends on what you hunt.

30k+ HAM MOBs the FT, the LLC for the rest. The FT works wonders for high HAM MOBs once the DOTs sets in.

He stated that he was a CH, exploration4 is a pre-req for that anyway. I believe that's why the saving 29 SP was stated as well as bing a pre-req for BH.

Thanks for the feedback. This switch was mainly inspired by my overflow of loot from JTL and space xp work (which has paid well sofar with my loot sales.......I sell at cheap prices, or so I think, but sell a lot of loot).


I have made the switch to LLC and noted that I enjoyed the FT much more.....especially in light of the HAM costs for special tricks on the LLC. However, with master CH, the range of the LLC has helped as well as the armor piercing abilities as my pets tank PVE.

I would say llc for you since you will save yourself 29 skillpts by not investing in unarmed 4.

Thanks for the replies....still pondering the thought and for now, just sticking to space action.


For all I know, I may even look into going towards Carb, Pistol or Rifleman (which I originally started into when SWG first began).

Tests of the past, shows LLC as the best weapon, especially as our burn don't burn as it used to.


Why?


No cooldown delay

AP 1

Faster to shoot.


on medium to high level mobs, that AP1 is a friggin lifesaver. while we would do little to no damage vs a mob, the LLC would still keep its damage potentional, even vs high resists.

A Master Creature Handler + BH 0004 (only LLC line!) will leave you with 47 skill points. That's alot of room to play with! You can get some Carbine or Pistol boxes from BH and even dive a tiny bit into the respective Pistoleer & Carbineer professions. Or you can get some Medic. Whatever suits your playstyle.


I love Commando, but BH seems like a natural, more efficient use of your points than Commando's Flamethrower tree. In addition, the LLC is fast... When the BH requirements went down, I tried the M.Commando / BH 0404 thing for a while. The LLC was quite a nice, different experience from the FT.

So far, in my experience, FT is / was a better damage dealer. I dropped Commando probably 6 months ago, and am only 2142 in BH right now, so maybe things have changed. I don't think the LLC has a DOT, and the FT's DOT is quite nice, IIRC.

When using a DOT does the full xp grant still apply, or do you also only get xp for the actual damage applied.


eg, I shoot a MOB with healthshot 1 all the time, get around 2000 xp (quenker). Shoot it with bodyshot2 and I get 2500. Will the same apply for the FT ?
