My alt is nearing novice commando should be there today or tomorow. I decided to go commando to help round out my guild's base destruction abilities but since I don't like doing anything halfway I'd really like to hear from the profession what are the benefits of being a master commando. I'm really glad to see that stern from IDI is the correspondent as he has no doubt been involved in numerous base destructions on my server.
So here's my questions.
- Other than ranged mitigation 3 what are some of the better benefits of being a master commando?
- I don't see commandos much in pvp. Other than vs jedi how effective are the commando's abilities vs other combat professions?
- I've read many concerns regarding the HAR and other ineffective commando weapons skills and abilities. Is the commando community expecting these to get addressed in the CURB? (I know you can really only speculate but you would have a better idea than anyone else).
- Are commandos expecting any new weapons in the CURB?
- What are some of the high end PVE content that commando's excell in? (Corvette?, DWB?, NS's?, Krayt's?)
Any additional info offered would be great. I look forward to becoming an active part of the commando community.

(I know you can really only speculate but you would have a better idea than anyone else). In theory most, if not all, will be fixed/adressed in the CURB.
- Are commandos expecting any new weapons in the CURB? I belive TH said EVERYONE is getting new weapons.
- What are some of the high end PVE content that commando's excell in? (Corvette?, DWB?, NS's?, Krayt's?) Most high end content has too high a resist in fire and therefore excludes us from much of that content.
Any additional info offered would be great. I look forward to becoming an active part of the commando community. Read, meditate, and consume the stickies above, for their you will find most of your answers and all of our issues.

Thanks very much for the response. I posted this after about 30 min of reading through stickies with varying opinions. After another 30-40 minutes after I had some answers but the rest of which you answered nicely. I do believe I'll be going master, I think I'll enjoy the profession much more that way. While my intial motivation was to have a base destruction ability I don't really like dabbling in professions. I feel they were meant to be mastered then if you still like it keep it if not move on and try the next.

I hope you like it, but most of us here are actually waiting for this damnn CURB to get on its way, and hopefully resolve many issues we currently have with our profession and make us more viable, and more importantly for me more FUN!!!
Anyway, welcome.
