Thread: I've been thinking about our KD defense

You know, for a profession that deals with high explosives, rocket launchers, and the shock waves and recoil they produce... why the hell do we only have a +5 to knockdown defense. You would think we would be a little sturdier on our feet.
C'mon.. give us at least a +30 or something.

That +5 KD defense has a funny story attached to it. Back in the day, to the Devs +5 Def vs KD was considered a lot, and they even were thinking of taking it away from us not to make our profession "overpowered".
I remember Q-3PO or Holocron saying that back a few months after Launch. As for any Def vs <state> being added, its a No because of the CU.

I TOTALLY agree...I've always hated the fact that we are forced into Melee range to be our most effective, yet we have less KD defense then some of the other RANGED professions...it's never made ANY sense to me...You'd think that you'd want the ranged profession that is most restricted to Melee range to have more KD defense then the others...but no....hmmmmm
Anyway...I've hinted at this before (and TH hinted at it in one of his CU public posts)...look for "counters" to be coming with the CU...and yes, we'll have access to a certain counter that we'd get a lot of use out of...or at least this is the current plan...as mentioned many times, PLANS CHANGE, so everything that anyone says, even TH or the Devs, need to be taken with a grain of salt until things get "locked down" via testing (which for alpha testers has not started yet)...

just stack the right other profesions with comando. I have M Comando and have +105 Defense vs Knockdown.

You know the real reason i toke up commando was for the independence something that you dont see anymore i thought i was going to wiring my own grenades modifying my own weapons and kill lots of things without having to group i wanted to be a one man army what ever happen to that concept >=/ er the point is i dont like relying on other skills to live

Eh, it's because commando is all offense with 0 defense. Need to pick up another proffession to get the defense side :/

And right now, commando can't even do OFFENSE very well, PvP, or PvE because of the 100% heat resists on all the high level mobs.
