Thread: Do any of the Commando Weapons NOT include an Area of Effect?

I've gone with the once and now common Master Smuggler/Master Commando template and have quite enjoyed applying area roots with the various weapons. It has come to my attention that its not always good to aggro everything in sight even if they start rooted so I was wondering if any of our now precious weapons don't have a AOE. I know I can always just switch to a pistol but I like being the special visual effects guy.

What's the word on an Advanced LP and Advanced RL? We could certainly use a non-loot/quest master weapon that doesn't piss everything off in range... Before I respec'd to my current non-commando template, I couldn't even use hardly anything from commando in the DWB or risk my entire group.

No word yet...I hope we do see the Adv. LP eventually, or both an LP and a RL (since we all know the RL is cool, but we also all spent money on good LPs too!)
That and the AoE (it still goes through walls I hear) will be listed in our top issues.

bugged? my rocket launcher KD's and hits everything around it. Where you buying your stuff? Salvation army gun depot?
Now damage wise they ARE bugged. Freaking headshot does not damage boost over normal ranged shot. Bollocks I say.

Odd, my converted RL and the ones Ive been using on TC aren't do AoE...damage and KD is normal. I think this may need more testing then.

I've had the same experience with the rocket launcher. It will apply the root state to mobs close to the target.
Since commandos don't get any specials per say a master weapon that isn't aoe would be nice to have as an option.

Oh yes... the AoE will go through walls still in some situations... trust me, I got my groups collective arse handed to us because of it

Ok, what did I miss. I can't find a proton rifle in live and now this post mentions it being elusive.
