Aaahhhhh... religious commando ranting.
What if?
First off, suppose all creatures, droids, and pets have the correct armor rating(i.e. ar 1, 2, or 3...).
What if only HEAVY WEAPONS had medium, and higher, armor piercing. Lowering the heavy weapons speed to T21 speeds(specials would not lower very much). Also put commando specials range limit to greater than 25m to max weapon range. Laser carbine and laser rifle having light armor piercing. Lastly having all standard weapons have no armor piercing.
This would give commandos a special advantage against any medium to heavily armored creatures or machines. While not having the multiple specials that give the massive damage to unarmored creatures or machines like other specialist professions(i.e. pistoleer, rifleman, and carbineer) have. Although our standard shots would be similar to those of other specialist professions.
Where would our heavy weapon range mods be set?
