Thread: On TC, have they changed the graphics?

It hasn't been addressed to my knowlege but I hope they do something. I'd be fine with an option to turn it off, and I guess that could go for anyone if it was under the options menu, whether they use the gun or not. Or just change the graphic, I know it looks cool and a lot of people like it but its a disruption to my game tactics, especially if I plan on using any tera kasi, and I can't find the target. Getting within meters isn't always that easy without the smoke and fire.
But mainly it's just a huge drain, and its no wonder people are saying LP stands for Lag Pistol. In PvP its especially bad because there is often more than one commando in the battle. And my PC isn't brand new, but it is a 2.1, 512 mhz system with the all in wonder card and I see plenty of lag.
I would also say that lag during PVP is the single biggest issue for me in terms of game time enjoyment. Often it will take5-10 seconds before I fire my first shot aftering selecting a target and a special. I've chased players away from the main battle field before and suddenly the lag isn't quite so bad.
I've even thought about making a post encouraging the rebels and imps to meet up on some planet with a fairly flat and empty surface like Tatoine tohave abattle out in the open away from the city.At least that way the city environment wouldn't have to be created and could possiblyoffer some slack to the Lag Pistol effect.
PVP is a blast, I can't imagine how fun it would be without the lag.
I don't see how anyone could disagree with an option to turn off or tone down the explosive graphic for the sake of lag if nothing else.
This needs to be brought to the attention of teh devs because its absolutely ruining player vs player compared to what it could be without the enormous lag.
im fine wit turning off the graphics or wutever i just hope they dont get rid of them cuase u people that are TKAor just brawler or swordsman or any of those types do know that u can just hit the "Tab" button and it auto locks onto targets so i dont see how an explosion would screw u up besides lagging

TKA don't use ranged weapons, they have to be within 3 meters to do damage so tabbing to the target is of no help other than to see exactly how far away the target is.It doesn't say in which direction the target is say 10 meters away, just that its 10 meters away. And using the map with all the explosions doesn't work either. Its just one big yellow screen of fire for the most part when standing in the middle of it all. And besides, there isn't much time in TKA. LikeI said it can be quite challenging to stop the target from runningand get within 3 meters without all the fire. With the fire and no sense of what direction to go its close to impossible.
I am a TKA and my husband is a commando.
I hate playing with him when he uses his LP.
Tab doesn't necessarily target the closest target. There is no sticky melee command in game, so very often any melee fighter will rely hugely on what they see on the screen. We have to know where the mobs are and run to them. With the hugh cloud of smoke, it is rather impossible to determine where they are.
As for hardware, my computer is far better than my husband's. I lag a big ton while he does not. When we are attacking some mobs at the same time, my screen simply turns white completely. There is absolutely no way for me to tell if there is any add or not. Most of all, it does lag me out that I often have to repeat my specials since the game simply doesn't register during the lag. Oh.. and my husband can't usually heal me in time due to the lag.
I understand this is not the fault of the weapon or the profession-- I really wish they would implement something that we could choose to turn off weapon effects when necessary.
