Thread: Why does the HAR BLOW

THIS IS NOT A NERF BH POST. I just want to know why the HAR blows so hard. It no way compared to the flamethrower, and it is worse than the llc easily, even without AR1. These are weapons made by the same weaponsmith.

HAR- 298-682 33.2% wound, 5.4 speed, 16/-12/-116, 96 54 18 ham, AR 0

LLC- 389-717 17.4% wound, 4.3 -4/4/0, 39/56/33 ham, AR 1

I don't want them to nerf the LLC, but the har is useless. The flamethrower is balanced but looks like they spent more time on it. The only reason to use the HAR at this point is when your group complains about lag. Not to mention novice bonus's that don't stack at all. If this is to be our medium or long range standard hwp, then give us better ranges.... it says rifle. I would much prefer -4/4/0 than the later. These weapons are not sliced, so we still loose out with a major speed disadvantage.

Sorry but that weaponsmith just isnt that great to base your opinion on.

My HARis 422-959 5.5spd and 35% wounds that is just insane. Plus its specific acid damage which some armor types are vulnerable to(e.g. rebel marine armor)

Only problem is the HARaccuracy doesnt stack from novice soits slightly out of whack by 10 points. Its a great weapon in the right environment. Just not as a primary when the FT has a dot that stacks.

HAR doesn't have a dot. If it had a dot, then it'd be worthwhile. Doing the same amount of damage as the Flamer, and no dot makes it a special-time use only.

Like when a mob isn't resistant to acid.

That's about the only time I pull mine out.

Also the cooldown timer for Har specials blows.

20 seconds.

From acid1 to master commando

20 seconds.

compared to my 7 seconds for flamesingle2.

Blows

I use my flamethrower and launcher pistol for just about everything. I only even bought an acid rifle in part to show off, and in part to have an attack graphic that's a little more discreet than the flaming explosions ^_^

That isone very smalladvantage of the HAR in PvP- its graphic is ugly, but it's got a much lower "tracer effect" than our other weapons, it's harder to follow back to where you're shooting from. I know rifleman experience something similar with the tusken rifle.

The HAR NEEDS ar1, there needs to be some reason to use it other than something is resistant to heat. It needs to be useful in its own right. The devs really need to explain their thinking on the HAR. I'm sure by doing the math, we can all agree HAR should have gotten AR1.

I tend to find that if something isnt heat vulnerable its got very high heat resist and is acid vulnerable instead, now Im not very well traveled yet IVe spent most of my time on Tatooine and Naboo so someones bound to disagree but thats why I have a HAR oh also they look realy nice kind of makes me think of a rail gun

Resources and quality of resources depend on the server. Plus once again that is the HAR without a slice. I doubt you have a 900dmg har pre slice.

I think the HAR needs atleast AR1 and better ranges on it. I know some poeple like the cheesey graphic, but I personaly think its stupid. My point was..... its the worst standard heavy weapon. It cost more to use than the llc, its slower than the llc, the special and accuracies are broke. Its only good if you are fighting something with heat resists.
