Thread: Don't forget, we're Master Marksmen too.

All in all, I think in PvP people forget we're master marksmen. Or in PvE. Sure, you don't need any xp but Hvy Wpn when you get to the profession, but in PvP-- you're also a master of any ham bar.

Not as good as the true specialists, but decent enough. And if you have pistoleer-- even better.

Flame Single 1 can stack with any other bleed. Which, means you could open up a fight with a spray-stick or a laser rifle and bleed someone, switch to a different weapon run up and start plinking while you're bridging the distance. If you can get close, Flamer, dot them, run away and use cover. Most of the time I've hit someone with the flamesingle, they run around like a chicken with their head cut off or start healing themselves. So, switch to spray-stick, mindshot, then reapply bleed. By the time they're trying to heal themselves, and keep the flame dot down, they've used alot of mind.

Then it's rifle, shot, dead.

Just remember fellas, you have access to other guns that can do damage to all action pools. Rifle. Carbine. Pistol.

It's all in the choice yah got.

Of course, getting spammed by eyeshot is a pain. But land a mind-dot on them, and they'll be hurting unless they can heal bleeds real fast. And most BH can't do that.

Honestly, if I had the SP I'd be Commando, Rifleman Novice, Carbine Novice, and Pistoleer.

Just for the elite weapons and their respective bleed2's.

Cause, flaming and bleeding, are pretty nasty in and of itself.

Though, Health bleed + Flame is the best way to go. It takes them down faster, but the mind bleed is just as effective.

In group combat thus far, we end up mind bleeding healers, switching to carbine, and bleeding someone else, then healing, running back and spraysticking folks, before flaming them.

Spray stick is bad damage, true-- but it's fast. So you can bleed-switch guns very quickly.

And nothing beats a scout blaster for quick-hits.

It's the same reason why Bounty Hunter is so strong. They're versatile. They have the ability to hit any damage pool, for a lot. Of course, we hit health very hard. And it's easily healed.

But, remember it takes mind to heal those. And bleeding someone who spam-heals, is one way to make the fight shorter.

I don't think you realize, you can be Master Commando, Pistoleer, Rifleman, and Carbineer. I'm all of those and even a scout for now(cause I'm not a master commando yet :robottongue. My stat modifiers are amazing with this, my Knock Down defense is at +50 right now. The other stats are great too and by the end of it I'll have 40 (or 45 I can't remember right now) Melee Defense. All from getting the defense skills from each of the 3 specialist classes with my left over points. In the end I'll havegood defenses and good damage output.

Constructive criticism at its worst!

I'm a weaponsmith, so I don't have the space for this, but if I weren't going to be a weaponsmith, I'd take Teras Kasi's Defense and Meditation lines, and either Novice Medic and First aid, or Rifleman's Specials and Sniping/Countersniping I.

That'd give you mindshot 2, as well as all of the defense bonuses of TKA, a good bunch of unarmed toughness, and the ability to heal your own wounds in a jiffy.

As it is... I can stock myself with Heavy Particle Beam Cannons, a worthwhile compensation for never being able to master commando.

On my way to making Commando I am doing Rebel missions and taking little damage with the mind shots. Generally, I am sneaking up on NPCs and taking them down before they know it. Although this might not work in PvP.

I made a comment about this in another thread. We are also pretty good at hand to hand also. Put away the flamer and pull out a melee weapon to combat those knock downs.

IMHO, the Commando is a Military trained killing professional. The BH is more like a ex-military (maybe) self trained professional. Who SHOULD win those battles? Navy Seal/Force Recon/Ranger... etc. or the redneck who trained himself?

Hmm. Not really. Bounty Hunters are trained to deal with one person. The bounty. They're trained in cheap-tactics to take someone out as quickly as possible to transport them back to said place to gain the bounty.

They're not military at all. They're more like one man avengers, of a sort. Hence, they have no AOE attacks. But they can target whatever part of the body they so choose. Which, is no big deal, truthfully.

I don't mind not being able to kill a BH one v one. However, flaming a group of em before they take you out is pretty funny.

Specially, when they all take 400 health wounds. =)

It's a funny sight to see. Muttering BH's about having to sit for 10m, or pay money to get a massive wound healed.

It's a trade off. Sure, you died. But you've crippled them for 10m for hunting. Or anyone for that matter.

"Hence, they have no AOE attacks."

I may be wrong, but I'm under the impression that bounty hunters have lightning cone attacks.....
