Very well thought out Aasch, I totally agree with you on that, wound damage is a must, but the one thing I have to disagree with is the bug (in my opinion) in which Combat Medic's diseases stay on through cloning.. Just a little bit over-done, and THAT is a way to grief someone... I am not sure if it's intended to be like that but alot of people don't factor in over 30 minutes downtime after a battle to heal their constantly wounded stat pools.

I agree it shouldn't last through cloning on the medic disease.

But please don't go post to the combat medic board...the point is not to redirect the cirticism some where else but to explain whywounding should be in place. Otherwise it just encourages chanes to other classes that may not be nessicary.

Lots of people can wound. Prolly not as fast as us though =P

Wounds are GREAT! Keeps people from running around with a TEF killing innocents. I love it.

No more clone wars (well limited atleast)

hey buddy, we r not doin wound damage, its fire damage. stop cryin ok, commandos have to wait like 9 secs be4 they can flame u again, we can do nothing in those 9 seconds mind you, and thats for the best of the commandos, so quit ur whining, commandos have had it rough, and now theyr good, and now ur cryin cuz ur mad u got burned.

ok first of craker i wasnt whinning i was presenting a debatable issue, read my post im not whinning and im not crying for a nerf. im glad that commandos finally got good, they need to be able to do massive dmg thats what there for.

anyway, yes i know CM dieases are insane wound dmg and yes i believe it should be changed or lowered, but nothing drastic. but CM makes stims to do wound dmg to that specific stat. think about this, if you got burnt in a fire and had 3rd degree burns (which hurt like hell i talk from experience) its gonna effect you in everyway, its gonna make it so you dont want to move that limb because it hurts so bad, thats why i think the wound dmg should be spread out over health/action and not just health. im not saying to lower the wound dmg like i said instead of lowering spread it over all the stats, except the mind based ones. then if they keep coming back time and time again then it would be more harming to them, think about it someone is gonna stop if all there stats are wounded with say 300 wounds, they may not stop if its just health. what im saying is lower the initial wound dmg by spreading it over all the stats making it do more dmg to all the stats over time.

but dont think im saying to remove the wound dmg, ya if you get burnt in RL its gonna effect you for some time lol

let me make one thing clear b4 i start....... I AM NOT CALLING FOR A NERF!!!!!

what im calling for is a revamp of the flamethrower wound dmg, its insane. im not saying nerf the dmg or anything like that, commandos use heavy wepons there supposed to do massive dmg but the wound dmg on the flamethrower is insanely high IMO. im not saying to make it lower but maybe change the way it does wound dmg, make it do the same amount but make it do the dmg over all the stats instead of focusing it all on just health, make it so it dmgs health/str/con/action/quick/sta. that way it would still do wounds but they all wouldnt be focused on just one stat.

basicaly what im saying is for example say the wound dmg done to healthwould be400 instead put that over all the stats make it do 65 wound dmg to all the stats, still 400 wound dmg but not nearly as devasting (spellin) to any one stat.

anyway thats just my opinion and like i said I AM NOT WHINING FOR A NERF!!! commandos are finally worth something, keep them that way.

I don't see anything "insane" on the wound dmg.

You got a Burn on yourbody !! I hope you will get wound lol !

And the heat dmg is not that high, its become high when a medic heal the "heat" guy causing him to receive more heat dmg = more wound.

The wound dmg is accurate the way it is. If you get hit with alaser beam, you have wounds in the vicinity of the blast, maybe on your shoulder or somthing miniscule. . .however if you are on fire, you have burns and are scarred all over your body. It makes sence to have that much wound damage.

it's not insane compare to the secondary wound you receive from bleeding shots, I took once 399 wounds in 1 shot from an npc.

Just had this debate on our server. Wound damage has a very important function in the game...it is currently the only ting that forces people out of a fight. Right now an Imperialcarbeener can come to Anchorhead, clone there, and then proceed to kill people over and over again. I have seen one do it...he was quite skilled and he DB'd some one for every time he was DB'd himself. If that had been a full scale raid it could have gone on and on for hours with dozens of people doing the same thing... more or less becasue he had no down time. He was using cloning as a method of healing...very effective actualy.

Wound damage is what forces people to go find a doctor. If your in PvP and some TKA is cloning and rushing you over and over to kill you (yes this dones happen) you have 2 options...run away or give him so many wounds he has to take some time off.

I am in favor of flamethrower wounds damage. I am in favor of giving people disease wounds. I am in favor of people buying the highest wound damage weapon they can find and using it. If you don't then what is the point of PvP? Endless killing of hte same people over and over again...no one ever retreating jsut clone to heal and attack again for hours and hours?

Do I bust out 1k flame wounds on every person i fight?...no. but if they keep comming back at me again and again i want somthing that will stop them. If I am waiting for a shuttle i don't want to be incapped again and again by people waiting there to clone rush me.... then i have ot run to another town only to discover some guy is doing it there too. Might not be happening everywhere yet but people will start to do it. I ma seeing AT-ST's parked perminantly in star ports in some places already to kill people loading in nad trying to get off planet. I have to go covert just ot travel these days. How long till it is like that everywhere? Star ports are movement choke points in the current game. And one of hte main points of killing people on loading is they get a boatload of wounds since they are usauly not cloned in thattown yet.

Might want ot reconsider you position on wound damage. Untill Insurance is live again it is all that is standing between endless hours of inconvienceeach week and you... we need that inflicted down time to keep the people who are doing stuff liek thsi at bay. And Insurance won;'t stop that TKA example I used above cause they don't evne need their equiment.
