Just thought this might brighten you all commandos outlook.
About 10 minutes ago while killing the stormies at the dantooine imp outpost for the Empire Day quest, this guy named Sgt-Bam started calling me "dirty terrorist" and what not and challenged me to a duel while I was in the middle of dropping pretty much the entire npc spawn at the base. Soon as I finished up the stormies, I meditated to reapply powerboost, dumped my duelist stance macro, stood up soon as my mind was full, hit my duelist stance macro, accepted his duel and here is the result.
Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a screenie until I got back to cnet cantina so all I have is my combat log to back me up. I was using my pftand what I was wearing wasn't a factor.This guy was cl80 and wearing a full suite of stormie battle armor (though no psg) yet it still only took me 37 seconds to initiate the duel and deathblow...
I love being a commando.

Ouch, would hate to be him. He had some very bad luck, but I'm sure that doesn't bother you

That I beat him, nope. However, if he hadn't been talking smack to me, I wouldn't have db'd him. Respect even to those on opposite sides of a war can go a long way.

I believe I have a vague memory of a sgt bam talking smack to me... So, good job! Though I can't access the links, looks like image dump may be down.

Dam I wish I could switch sides and help you out (I'm just too Imperial)........... OK, instead tell me where the Jedi's Bases are and I'll get the times that they are vulnerable........

Negative. My toon is a MCom/MBH/4000tk. What I did was, Underhand shot (kd), Critical Shot (which didn't critical 
), Body Shot (bleeds and is my second best special), Eye Shot (I swear this special hardly plants a blind), and a ranged shot (because I was too slow queuing another critical).

Considering how I got my ass handed to me today (granted it was a jedi), I'm not entirely sure how I manged to do the above.... damn funny though.

You could start with giving the timers for the bases in Thalnax, I believe that's where TIO is and they just tried to raid New Horizon last night.

It looks like you had a good 10 seconds before he could fight back. Catching him offguard by starting the duel when he wasn't ready and doing the knocking down gave a big advantage that most of us can't seem to get

so you did this with a MTK/MCom? Just wondering if you were using basic ranged shot. Heh. I've found that some times.. thats way better than using any special even the BH critical shot. Now if only we could pup our flamethrowers.....

Did they use Jedi in their raid?
