Was doing some research for a post here, and just some confirmation....

Ranged Speed:

  • Heavy Weapon Speed stacks with General Ranged Speed

  • General Ranged Speed stacks with Heavy Weapon Speed

  • Heavy Weapon Speed will stack with Rifle/Pistol/Carbine Speed, making someoneholding a rifle/pistol/carbine shoot faster by virtue of the Heavy Weapon Speed

  • Rifle/Pistol/Carbine Speed does NOT stack with Heavy Weapon Speed, making it so that someone holding a Heavy Weapon does NOT get any speed bonuses from Rifle/Pistol/Carbine speed

Ranged Accuracy:

  • Heavy WeaponAccuracy stacks with General Ranged Accuracy

  • General RangedAccuracy stacks with Heavy Weapon Accuracy

  • Heavy Weapon Accuracy will stack with Rifle/Pistol/Carbine Accuracy, making someoneholding a rifle/pistol/carbine more accurate by virtue of the Heavy Weapon Accuracy bonus

  • Rifle/Pistol/Carbine Accuracy does NOT stack with Heavy Weapon Accuracy, making it so that someone holding a Heavy Weapon does NOT get anyaccuracy bonuses from Rifle/Pistol/Carbine Accuracy

Defense:

  • Heavy Weapon Defense stacks with Ranged Defense

  • Ranged Defense stacks with Heavy Weapon Defense

  • Heavy Weapon Defense stacks with Pistol/Carbine/Rifle Defense

  • Pistol/Carbine/Rifle Defense stacks with Heavy Weapon Defense

  • Heavy Weapon Defense does NOT stack with Melee Defense

  • Melee Defense does NOT stack with Heavy Weapon Defense

Just want to be sure.

I have a sneaking suspicion that some mods that are intended to stack, actually DONT. Since heavy weapon speed/accuracy/defense modifiers dont show up under Control C, it got me to wondering a little bit....I cant test my own clothing, because they are set up as follows:

Ubese Shirt: +25 heavy weap accuracy, +25 heavy weap speed, +25 pistol speed, +24 pistol accuracy

Ubese Bando: +25 Pistol Defense, +25 General Ranged Speed, +24 Terrain Negotiation, +11 Mind Healing Enancement (part of 3 tier'd attachment /shrug)

Mubari Belt: +25 Heavy Weap Defense, +25 General Ranged Accuracy, +10 Two Handed Speed, +14 Healing Efficiency

WOW! So I guess this means that I can buy an Advanced Laser Rifle and dish out the damage like a master rifleman (without the damage specials though).

This is INDEED good news

I dont find my HW speed stacking with my rifles at all. Be them from skill boxes, tapes, or AAs. HW mods only work with heavy weapons for me.

Well they're not suppoused to.

Only General is intended to stack with Specific. And honestly, if our specific mods weren't working (or stacking right), we'd be even more craptascular than we already are since we have little general mods (like other specific modded professions). As for specific on specific, never intended...although it would be quite cool if they did.

With the defense mods, they're intended to stack (the melee/ranged with the xx weapon defense)...if they're fully working or not, who knows? May be worthwhile to take a scientific testing look at this...

Nick,

My problem with this whole thing is simple:

I think they are trying to put too much coding into us, and cant get it right based on the engine this game is built on. Add in the CU, and its screwed things up even more. They are making the Commando "engine" (for lack of a better word) far more complex than it needs to be. Our profession has FAR too many variables that REQUIRE every single one to be working correctly to be effective.

I could have SWORN that I read where Pistol/Carbine/Rifle speed stacked to give more heavy weapon speed, and vice versa....

I agree with ya on the variables...greatly I may add.

As for mods and whatnot, they didn't stack in the old system, nor at they shown stacking in the character sheet (where only intended mods stack). Hence, either way if those intended mods aren't stacking...or if unintended mods are stacking (and not showing up), then its bugged.
