Okies time for a silly question.
Different ranged professions, have their own hit locations. Head shot, legshot, bodyshot and so on.
The emminent flamer have an inbuilt fire dot...
Can I by using the diff hit location shots, put all these locations on fire.
In effect putting three fire dots on a peep/monster?
Or is fire one overiding effect limited to One per target?

No. There is a bleed dot and a fire dot. You can use the flamer to put the bleed dot on your target and put the fire dot on (maybe even simultaneously if you're blessed) but there is only 1 single fire dot.

You may be on to something with that. I have seen up to 3 distinct DOTs one one target at a time, verified it on multiple occassions in my combat log. It could be linked to location, but it may also simply be a seperate chance per shot to attach a DOT regardless of hit location.

There is one bleed dot per person who applies a dot. As in, you, personally, can't apply multiple bleeds but if someone else puts a bleed on a target, it will stick. Due to the schizoid nature of the fire dot and the short amount of time critters die when more then 1 flamer is being used, I haven't been able to see if the fire dot is relegated to a single fire dot period or a single fire dot per person.

best would be to use commando for fire dot, use another prof witha bleed dot and add CM for the poison/disease dot. that is: if ur a doT-er

I've seen and verified cases of up to 3 DOTs on a single creature from me, and only me, and only one FT. I have not bothered to check post patch 19, but I will look into this again today.

With bleeds at least you can stack 3 of the same one. Dont' see why it would be any different for a flame dot

as a fencer I was able to stack multiple bleeds by hitting different parts of the enemy. Anyone tested this with fire?
