I have pistoleer 0004 and the full flamethrower branch, so your milage may vary but:

Get buffed. Go to Dathomir. Take missions for malklocs. These are vulnerable to heat. Lairs will spawn an average of 20 each time. Use a knockdown/flamesingle combo on each malkloc. One shot, one kill. The easiest way I've found is to stand just off of the lair a bit and let them surround me. Then just tab through.

Malklocs have been giving me an avg of 2.5k heavy weapons xp. Use grenades on the lairs for 4.5k combat xp. I can easily get 100-150k heavy weapons xp with two malkloc missions and stopping to kill all malklocs, nitches and brackasets I come across to and from said missions. (All one-shot kills with a knockdown combo.) I went through acid rifle 1-3 in just over an hour today, including travel time, waiting for shuttles and buffs, refreshing for missions, and taking 10 or so minutes to grenade the lairs.

This should help both holo-grinders and people like me who just want to get to master already.
