Well, first, the number's he was reporting were in his combat tab, thus not the actual damage he was doing. The real damage is what floats over the targets head. Also, their is a chance to get a "hole" in armor, skipping resists and hitting for normal amounts of damage. The Flame DoT will also do full damage, regardless of heat resists.

actually the 100% heat resist can break on mobs and u start doing full dmg. this happens after u have hit them a few times and only sometimes but when im killing those stormies in bestine with 100% heat i can get them to take full dmg from the flamer, not the dot mind u but flamecone2. its a bug in the system.
