Thread: Krayt LP?

I am working up to commando, but I wanted to know if I could get a krayt LP made? Are they abel to do it? Or is there another avenue I should take with the LP? I plan on doing the Pistoleer/Commando combo and wanted to get a jump start on having all the right weapons.

Well...I got mine made several patches back before the Dev's nerf'd Krayt Tissue used in Power Handlers (I believe that what they did)...it was back when the Dev's felt FWG5's were too powerful via Krayt Tissues...they nerf'd allowing Krayt Tissue to be used in the power handlers...which also inadvertently nerf'd our LPs when it came to Krayting them...I think they can still be krayted, but just not as powerful as once before...


I haven't had one made since that patch...so I'm not sure on the stats...

My launcher pistol is 2.1 speed at 404 max damage.


I personaly have yet to see a better one on my server. Dont know if its krayt or not but it seemed like a good deal to me for 80k

Krayt tissues are still used in Blaster Power Handlers, but they removed Blaster Power Handlers from the LP schematic. You can get optional components for the projectile feed mechanism to give you a damage boost, they I've never seen an enhancer as powerful as even a bad Krayt tissue.

Just to be slightly more helpful, there IS a way to get a Krayt level LP...I've just never herard any anyone doing it. There are supposed to be "Gorax bone shards" in game that have stats comparable to that of Krayt tissues but that enhance projectile feed mechanisms.


Since the Gorax has no set "graveyard" like spawn point though (just "somewhere in the desert of Endor"), and is at least as tough as Giant Canyon (if not Ancient) Krayt, getting them is a daunting take.

Well the Launcher Pistol that was just made for me using Spider Fangs for the Feed Mechanism Enhancement and the High Calibur Projectile Pistol Barrels winds up being around 101-380 or so damage with a powerup and a decent damage slice.

Punisher, it sounds like you have a krayt LP. Great price too, Im jealous. And Garvin you are right about the powerhandlers. LP's can no longer be made with Krayt tissues at all. If you wanted to buy one, you would have to find one made before publish 5. Any that are still around are worth LOTS of money.

if you find a weaponsmith that has an old schematic for a launcher pistol, and still has the resources he used in that schematic, i think it is still possible. i had one made for me a loooong time ago. 427 max damage at 2.2 speed is sexy .

I believe recently they changed FWG5s, LPs etc. as they are brought out of crates, so the schematic that WS has is probably going to make a post nerf LP.


As for making a good one post patch, if you can somehow brave the genosian dungeon and camp the Fire Spider try and get some decent quality fangs off him... they tend to be fairly good for Projectile Feed Mech. Enhancers, and if you can't camp them for very long you can always head to Nym's Stronghold and kill the elite guards for hours on end looking for some other upgrade parts

I have a old school Krayton LP i Have not touched since i bought it from Stryk'er about 5 months ago.


i dont use cuz i realy dont see the point unless i go Pistoler with it. But the stats are..


speed 2.0


Dam/ 396 without out power up.


I put a Dam power up to see what would happend and it jumped to 492dam


Just wondering how much this Old LP is worth now>?


Im one Eclipse and have not see one better yet.


One more thing has anybody seen a ACID krayton? lol
