Combat Profession Bug Fixes

We have made a decision to address major combat issues only and not do the full combat balance at this time. After the Crafting Experimentation experience, we realized that we need to spend more time than a single publish to truly accomplish our goal, which is to make combat fun and engaging. To have the depth to combat that I think everyone wants in the system we want get much more player feedback and balance on these types of things. We will be developing the Combat Balance separately in a Sandbox over a long period of time, with plenty of Test Center and correspondent participation. We will release this one when it is ready... and not before.

Ok, problem....

Our HAR HAM cost and damage is abysimal. We blow ourselves up with grenades (ideal range problems) which also have high HAM costs and bad damage. We have heavy weapons that are 10x more expensive than they should be, and that have HUGE accuracy problems and....(say it with me) too high of HAM costs.

For months now our only hope, despite being substantially nerfed 3 times, has been TH's continual promises that the "the combat balance will fix everything." Now the combat balance has been postponed indefinitely...

So....what the heck do we do now?

In JustG's plan, he includes several slots in the production schedule for "Correspondent Issues."Some of them in each publish. We need to identify several (as in 3-4)SIMPLE, clearly defined things that we want fixed as correspondent issues. If we make a clear proposal that looks appealing, we might be the squeaky wheel that gets the grease first.

Start thinking, and when our new Correspondent (*cough Garvin*) get tapped we can get quickly organized.

We WILL get fixed! Oh yes! We will!
