Thread: Mokk/Janta heat resis changed???

Now i haven't been hunting Mokk or janta for a good while now... so must say not too sure about what the resis are ment to be... but i could swear mokk were not vun to heat??? right??? They seem to go down real quick now??? or is it just me :/

If it was changed, it wasn't recent. I have been killing Mokk for my entire career as a commando and they have always been prime toasting candidates for me.
Janta, however, aren't quite as easy to roast as Mokk.

Yeah, janta actually don't have much heat resistance if I recall correctly, but they don't have the vulnerability like the mokk do which makes them go up like flashpaper.
Actually though, if you're just in it for the cash, it doesn't matter. Since NPCs don't get extra help when you attack their structure and don't heal the structure, its just easier to torch the building, jump on your swoop and move to the next one. Unless you still need experience.

For commandos its faster and easier torching everything and the lair....as now NPCs use specials...so they can tend to hurt
(plus I Mokk KD now...as well as dizzy, nearly died once due to this)
Unlike TKM's who can dish out the dmg to destroy a 50k lair in 25 seconds....(and barely even get touched!)
Anyways I cant even remember how long ago they changed the resists
. And granted, Janta dont have heat resists...but their AR 1cuts our FT dmg in half....
Edit: Btw Mokks and Janta drop loot items...always a plus!
Edit 2: Also fixed a typo...Built to But...lol

Don't forget about the occasional color crystal. Most of the ones I own came from Mokks.
And if you are serious, I have a ton of poison or fire sticks and knives. Bad savages! Bad!

If a critter is Vuln to a damage type (ie 0% resist) their AR counts for nothing.
Seriously.
So, a critter vulnerable to Energy will take *more* damage from a Laser Rifle than a T21, 'cause the Laser Rifle has a higher base damage, and neither the Medium AP nor Heavy AP are figured into the equation.
Similarly, I do more damage with my AP0 EE3 (Heat) against Mokks than I do with my AP2 Krayted Laser Carbine (Energy).
I kid you not.

Janta dont have Heat resists or Heat Vuln...thats why they're tougher than Mokks who have AR 1 and Heat Vuln. But since your post was about 0% resist = a Vuln...that doesnt make a difference. However, from experience Janta have ALWAYS been much tougher, and my damage ALWAYS less than against Mokks...I can one hit Mokks sometimes...I have never one hitted a Janta before
(On average it takes me 1-3 shots to take down a Mokk...for janta 3+)

Well i'm not on the "only kill lair and become a billionair" one guys 
But it seems i am right about some of the changes??
Also i have no problem taking down janta or mokk as a master commando... a speed sliced flamer means i can bring out flamecone2 and flamesingle 2 about every 4 to 5 secs... and after getting them all agro by running around a bit and two cone 2's i stop and single 2 any that are left... what i mean is... I never come close to death (btw i did get a anti dizzy undershirt)... and for the lair i just take out my dmg sliced flamer.
Well i was thinking the resis did change and only asked so that if it is true... it can only be a good thing... and maybe a sign that more heat resis may go down... but now it seems more like that change has happened a while ago and more change is not coming

High end Mokk have heat resists, but your typical mission spawn is vulnerable to it.

I have. I tried shooting it with my FWG5 and it didn't die! Then I checked its resists... it had AR1 and about 20% heat resists or so.
Doh!
I think I found it at the Mokk city thingie.
