Fun is what it is all about. We aren't so bad off that it isn't a viable PvE profession. It is a great deal of fun for me, and I am TKA/Commando. And I usually fight with my Commando even though the TKA part is stronger. Grenades and shoulder-mounted cannons are fun. The Launcher Pistol is very explodey and fun. The HAR is... well, it does acid damage.
If you want to "pwn" then maybe you would have more fun elsewhere, like Rifleman. But if you like explosions and fire,then go for it.
There are stronger templates out there, but you should do what you like.

But it's awesome defeating someone in PvP as a Master Carbineer. They see the title and figure,"oh, this should be nice." Their reactions afterwards are great... but not as good as when they see they've been defeated by a Master Commando.

with out a question of a doute yes TKM and commando rock together tkm along in pvp i a great profession tkm not to great but doable , but pve it alof of fun
