I'm peronsally going
Master Marksman (duh)
Brawler 4/0/0/0 (double duh)
Master Commando
BH 0/0/4/0
Pistoleer 0/0/4/3
The BH and Pistoleer provide more accuracy, speed, and specials for the Launcher Pistol, and the Pistoleer skills give state defenses and melee defense. I like this template because it allows me to still be commando primarily, and uses the other skills as support (as opposed to doing MC/TKM, where TK is used over commando).
My 2 creds...

Im working on Master commando, TKA 0/3/0/0, Bounty Hunter 0/0/2/0, and novice medic, I could have first aid 1 and hunting 1 cause i like to hunt meats for money. Does melee mitigation work against monsters or only players and npc's with melee weapons. That would change my template alot i think.

My previous template was this:
MCH, MBE, and Ranger 3000.
Although BE was fun and CH gave me great tanking abilities, watching your pets do all the work gets really boring, plus BE crafting is sooo unpredictable.... so I went a totally different direction... (this is the relevant part, lol)
MCommando, MRifleman, TKA 0003.
Rifleman provides a lot of additional firepower, TKA 0003 caps out the melee and ranged defenses as well as giving a little bit of kinetic damage and meditation for fun and fashion. Commando because it was my first holo and I loved it.

Listen to me very carefully, Wolfguy. Your signature is too big and is causing the thread to scroll sideways.
If you would please, wrap everything beyond "fencer" in that last line of your sig.
Some of us wouldappreciate it aton!

Mine is the old school MCommando/TKM...except reciently.
For the past month or so (On Live), I've been going on hunts using ONLY my Commando skills. After a few hunts...I realized that MOST of the times prior, I was using my TKA skills and rarely used Commando...especially after the weapon delay. It is very interesting to see how I do without my "Crutch". Interesting and infinately frustrating as well.
I can tell you many stories of sitting in the cloning center alone and amazed. I can tell you even more stories about using Flamecone2, sitting and waiting FOREVER, while watching everyone else pummel things. I've tried up close with only the FT...many times all that did was draw attention to me and my "awesome" mele defence! Other times, I tried the artillary strat...all that did send me to the bank to withdraw credits for more consumables and nice comments like, "That's cool lookin! Why does it seem like yer not hitting or doing any damage?". Another sucky thing is...after the "battle"...the Elite Mele guys get high fives, complements, and admiration. I get..."We have to use speeders since Braven can't keep up..."
OH well!
I have decided though...Untill the revamp, I'm only going to use Commando skills in combat. It really gives me focus and maybe I'll find something we can use!

Ok folks...what is your ideal Commando? Started moving toward the following template and wanted to know what everyone thinks and what their personal favorite is...
Master Marksman 4/4/4/4
Novice Brawler 4/0/0/0
Novice Scout 4/0/0/0
Novice Medic 1/0/0/0
Master Commando 4/4/4/4
Novice Bounty Hunter 0/4/4/0
I think the BH stuff really gives us a more Commando "feel". Specials for the launcher pistol, specials for carbines (ie assault rifle), and the terrain negotiation/mask scent from scout. No defenses, but hey we're used to that right? How would this template stack up in PvE or PvP?

I am in the process of trying Master Commando, 3 4 4 0 Fencer , 0 0 4 0 Pistoleer. This gives me:
+80 Def vs Blind
+80 Def vs Dizzy
+20 Def vs Intimidate
+105 Def vs KD
+70 Def vs Posture Change
+40 Def vs Stun
+100 Dodge
+63 Melee Def
+76 Ranged Def
Don't know how well this is going to work, but it will be fun to find out!
