at master commando you can put 4 d.o.t.s on a creature, flame single 1 and 2, flame cone 1 and 2.. i heard some where that if you pull out a second flame thrower that you can put 4 more d.o.t.s on.. is thus true?

DoT stacking is a very touchy subject and one that we try to avoid discussing to much here...

Whether or not DoTs stack is not the big issues...the big issue is that DoTs are not suppose to stack ingame...The Devs made a change to the game awhile back that reportedly removed all DoT stacking from the game. They confirmed this for other professions but never confirmed this for Commandos. Because of that, when I was the Correspondent, I was never in a rush to "test" whether our DoTs still stack...If I proved that they do still stack, and they aren't suppose to, then we have a bug that the Devs will inturn "fix"...If I prove that they don't stack, then things are working as the devs reported, but why risk things?

So if you believe DoTs stack, great...asking for confirmations of DoT stacking tends not to be met with positive responses very often (and for that I apologize)...It's a topic that comes up more often then many of use would like (trying to keep it under the radar) and some don't respond very nice when it does. Those are typically folks who don't want to see attention attracted that could end up leading to a possible "fix" if DoTs do indeed stack...

I've always wanted to be a commando and have tried it out. For obvious reasons, I had to give it up like i did master swordsman, hehe. Anyways, much as i love this profession and would love to be one full time and all the time as it should be lots of fun, action and excitement with being on the front lines of battle and risking your all for your faction, etc, etc.

However, can someone show me what chapter on the DVD's or even a movie reference, or maybe post a book/chapter reference, that flamethrowers even existed in the Star Wars Universe? Or is the flamethrower just a "counter" to the combat medics? Oh yeah, I guess a counter to every single other profession as there is a new DoT weapon of some type spawning every other day in the game.

But seriously, name me 1 person in a movie or book, who used a flamethrower? Commando's would be better off using assault rifles, rocket launchers, bazooka/man-portable artillery, mortars, etc, etc.

Boba Fett and Jango Fett had flamethrowers mounted in their bracers. Trust me it's a lot of fun in the Bounty Hunter game to set your enemies on fire and they'll then run around screaming "I'm burning! I'm burning!". It's just so funny when they jump off a cliff or high ledge and fall to their doom. Absolutely Hilarious!

Commandos use all sorts of SW classic weapons like RLs and Thermal Dentonators. Though you are right in some ways it isn't the most Star Warsy weapon but hey it's all we got and you can still use your blaster weapons from Marksman.

True - the FT dots DO NOT STACK *cough*. I tried to get my FT to stack the fire dot, but it would NOT WORK.
