Since our free month is pretty much up, or almost up we're going to be paying for this lovely service. Since I'm commando with no skill points left (I don't want to drop CH till I can actually do some damage), and my pistol xp is called at 200k (dont want to spend any till i know what they're doing with launcher pistol in reguards to leaving it pistol or moving it to HW and losing all pistol skills).. here's what I've doing the past 5 days.

5 days ago I spent 18 hours getting 150k necessary HW xp needed for flamethrower I (3x longer than it takes to get 150k pistol xp since damage is so gimped), and excitedly trained Flamethrower I spec.. wow a useless 15m max range skill that does half the normal damage and does about a 200dmg overall dot and makes you wait 12 seconds before firing again. At that point I pretty much used a profanity and laughed and stopped going for HW xp. 4 days ago I got a launcher pistol and had it sliced by a master smuggler. Wow I can do damage now but it's all pistol XP and that's capped for me, YAY! That day I took my pets (CH which ill scrap once we can actually kill something on our own) to do some of the Emperor's Retreat.. did half a dozen or so and decided I wanted to go raid Moenia and killed a few Rebels. 3 days ago I was getting pretty burnt out since I'm gated and getting HW xp takes 3x longer then pistol (which is completely unmotivating) so I stood in bestine for a couple hours staring through my monitor, only to wake up to the occasional combat music starting in since i was standing there declared imperial. 2 days ago I stood in Bestine for awhile again and thought I may as well do some destroy missions for cash. Did about 2 hours or so and racked up 30k or so and went back into Bestine, dueled a few BH's that took me down faster then a wet Rancor in quicksand.. had to escape the constant staring at the monitor with nothing to do. Then yesterday I decided that I wanted a Commando outfit so I went to Naboo to get an outfit off the PA's tailor. Nice little camo outfit that blends in with sand environment.. I'll probably grab a forest one later. Went back to Tatooine and run a few more missions and contemplated life for awhile and logged.

And now today! Today I got motivated to try and get some more HW xp and went out to fight a few Giant womp rats with my trusty sludge panther. After 2m44s I took one down and got a whopping 500xp... joy. I thought fora sec and pulled out my launcher pistol and fired normal shots only.. killed it in about 2m10s and got 1200xp.. wow, small difference there. I killed another with my pistol and used a few body shots and got 1300 this time... if only it was HW xp... if only.. yea. but then we'd lose all the pistol skills associated with it, ah well.. still more xp with normal shots over the flamethrower. So after that 10 minute motivation was shot down by lack of damage output by the only heavy weapon in the game right now on my server that's working I decided to call it quits on the combat for the day and go back to standing in Bestine. Dueled a BH who took me out in < 3 seconds since he has about a +67 speed on his pistol and used eyeshot twice... sure would be nice if ANY of our tree applied to the launcher pistol eh? Welp I'm going to go collect some bone for our armorsmith now since there's nothing I can do for my character even though I'm only Flamethrower I.

Curious... how did you get any Heavy Weapon Exp?

I have a launcher pistol (get no HW exp), acid rifle (not certified to use even though im trainded novice Commando), and Heavy Beam Cannon (Not certified but wanted to check it out).

The current way to get ANY hvy weapon exp in a reasonable amount of time is to put a bleed DOT on the mob, hit it once with your heavy weapon ie flame thrower, then run around like an idiot till it dies.

Yup that's what I did for a week with my acid rifle until I got my gimpy flamer. Bleed ding for 15 dmg with the acid rifle and run forest run!!!!!

I hit commando around the 12th of the month I think.......didn't get a launcher pistol until about a week ago and finally got a flamer yesterday.

I spent most of my time doing S&D (achived rifleman/pistoleer/smuggler/tka in the process), teaching others how to hunt solo, and shopping for decent military clothes.....even though a shirt still eludes me.

Now that I have my gimpy flamer spending time harassing snorboks *sp or whatever on lok with some warning shot spam a bleed and flame on baby flame on!!!! I know a decent xp rate will still elude me for hw so might as well get bunches of bone/hide in the process. Just killing time praying on a fix.



BTW the commando outfit I sorted out so far is
-Large Headwrap (we lack a beret)
-Pocketed work pants (imo the paramilitary camos look like junk........not military cut at all and check out the sag ass)
-Sturdy boots - very nice imo especially with the work pants
-bristley hide belt/small pocketed belt/wide buckle belt
-spec ops or military backpack

I'm still lacking a shirt nothing seems to look right and the jackets all look like over-stuffed ski jackets. So I end up running around in my tank top half the time....which feels right if i'm on tatoonie but everywhere else it just seems out of place. I'm going to try to get a master tailor to do some color'd flex form shirts........something like a regular T-shirt.

Yes you too will eventually sink to this lvl of bordom as well unless the fix happens VERY VERY soon lol.

That's funny.. I hate doing that to get heavy weapon exp.. but you're right.

I am currently sporting a desert colored Spec-Ops Duster, matching lined workshirt,leather belt, paramilitary camos, and .. some sandals hehe. I completely match my duster so that I blend in nicely. I'm going to get a forest outfit that's the same as well.

hey Garabaldi....what about the commandos on servers where flamethrowers, or Beamweapons, or any of that other crap made by nerf dont exist....

To state the idiots, waste points in BH and use lightning rifle! lol... stupidest crap ive ever heard.. BH's think they own everything.. oh wait they do.
