Thread: List of Possible Pre-CURB Quick Fixes

Good evening folks, one issue Im going to try and push before the Devs is a compilation of quick fixes to help out commando -now- plus give us something that is beneficial to pass the time until the CURB is (finally) released onto Live. For the most part this includes doable and small fixes that would benefit our profession. Ill be submitting this list to the Developers in hopes that we may get a bone thrown to us prior to the CURB...






My proposal as followed:


Commando Requests for Pre-CURB "Quick Fixes"


The following are fixes that the commando community would like to see in order to help our profession now. These "fixes" would be temporary of course until the CURB is released, but would be a GREAT benefit to our profession until then. The community also feels that these could be fixes that may be easily implented into our profession (such as when we recieved +25 Melee/Range defenses in our Master Skill Box). This list consists of specific requests that could be taken to help improve our condition in the game, is as followed:


Concerns Highlighted in Red are those that we feel are needed to the upmost degree until the CURB hits, and if we could only get these, the situation of the Commando Profession would be improved drastically.


Concerns highlighted in yellow and light blue are wishlist items we would like to see added, but are not piority. Yellow are secondary.


Skill Mods


  • +15 to +30FT Speed

  • +15 to +30 HAR Speed

  • +35 to flamethrower accuracy

  • +35 HAR Accuracy

  • Get Thrown Weapon Accuracy Working

  • Reasonable addition of Speed/Accuracy to all of our Disposables (Beam Weapons & RL)

  • Grenade Speed Needs to be fixed (currently Capped at 9 secs regardless)
  • Add in a reasonable amount of Pistol Speed/Accuracy (Maybe +75 Pistol accuracy, +35 speed?)

"We are the guys skilled with all ranged weapons. They should let us act like it"


Defenses



  • +25 melee defense (Scattered about in the Profession)

  • +25 ranged defence (Ditto)

  • Add Melee Mitigation 1 to Commando (much like Smugglers)

  • Add Special Defenses just about equal to Pistoleer, as we operate mostly in their range of pistols and closer!

  • +40 Def vs Stun

  • +40 Def vs Blind

  • +40 Def vs Dizzy

  • +20 to +40 Def vs Posture Change

  • +50 Def vs Knockdown

  • Active defense - counterattack seems the most commandoish plus it might give more reason for a carb/Commando combo. Block would be good even though its only a 50% reduction.

Weapons



  • Powerups for our weapons

  • AP 3 on the HAR

  • Increase Hvy Weapon xp gainage to that of other elites

  • Give us looting rights for our Fire DoT

  • Consumables to go in the combat queue instead of bypasssing it. Currently you can have a number of specials of any description queued up, but if you hit a toolbarred grenade/HPBC etc you throw/fire it as your next combat action, and with no way to clear queued consumables.






Anything you would add, change, remove, etc?

and... starnick, any hope if getting the HAR to be less broken as a "quick fix" like.. fix the speical timers for it?


you also forgot grenade fixes

If theres quick fixes you feel should be on that list, just post em here and Ill update (be specific however)...this was a preliminary list that will be (hopefully) expanded with thoughts and ideas from you guys.


And for the HAR...Im not sure if that would be doable...considering, the Devs couldn't give me anything pertaining to that. Btw, that was my firstissue I pushed for on the Corr forums...


For Grenades/Disposable weapons Im preparing a mini-document to advocate for production changes. Changes to make these babies would definately be welcome to both commandos and weaponsmiths, and if the Devs indeed can make it happen....would be great if it could come Pre-CURB, it may be a longshot though.

what about the skill attachements? the Heavy Weap Skil Attachments, i hear they dont work still

Skill attachments don't work currently because there are no mods for them to work on. This will be changing for the CURB....and the current mods should most likely work as long as their names won't be changed....Im trying to get confirmation on this for you guys...

Believe me...Ive already been jumping in and trying to get questions that need answers, answered. Theres still quite a few more pages of Commando Issues both public and confidential thatare awaiting developer eyes....

An increase in thrown weapon speed and rocket launcher speed would be nice too.

I will agree with the more Dizzy/KD deffences, accuracy/speed, melee/ranged defences and posibly even some unarmed damage to go along with our unarmed pre-req.


When hunting, if im being attacked, I am always forced to use my VK because it like doubles my life expectancy. It would be really nice if one could actualy use there FT or HAR in a fight with out taking so much damage

I would say +40 def vs states (all states), another +25 melee/ranged defense might be pushing it because we get +25 at master (this might mean I have to master again).

This also might be pushing it but I would like to see both melee and ranged mitagation. For what it is worth, it really doesn't help that much but it would be a start. I do not see Commando as a "glass cannon" profession so I do believe we need some defenses and should not be easily shaken in combat.

I like how I can play a commando without mastering, the way the skills and special moves are distributed.

Shouldn't the Flame Thrower/HAR Speed/Acc be removed totally. And be called Heavy Weapon Speed/Acc.
