hmm another idea from me oh goodie lol I stole this from my favorite strategy game "Dawn of War" im a warhammer person =P
kk SO after combat balance when TKM's are finally "Tamed"
/cough NERFED =P
Ithink there should be a system where your avatar goes into close-combat when someone gets close
so the TK gets close to you and you dont have to press a button to get you to start hiting him with your weapon *this would apply to all ranged profs beside Pistoleer* that way you well be ineffective at close range and a melee tank would be required for ranged support. It would bring squads to more strategic moves.
Also i think we should have armored vehiclesbut it is more effective against Other tanks and class 3 armor then it would be against class 1 and 2 armor *so that ppl wont whine that its overpowered and all become tank commanders =]* but ppl without armors should be insta death if the tank can actully hit them armor should lower mod defs like dodge in that way the tanks are primarly support. But AT-ST type vehicles are good against armor class 1 and 2 not so against other tanks and 3 see Balance =D lol. i got this from dawn of war the Predator Tank shoots out a plasma beam that dosent hurt infantry as much as it hurts Heavy Infantry and other tanks also when a attacking squad got up close to your squads they went automatically into close combat Meaning pulling out there combat knifes and stabing away.
The game also gave me an idea for a weapon for the commandos >=]
A heavy bolter or in lamence terms a heavy machine gun on DOW it was a fast gun and did 212-313 damege effective against infantry or class 1 and 2 armor on this game. the down side is that they have to lug around an ammo pack which made them slow and it toke 5 seconds to get in attack posture so we have to kneel before we can open fire. the weapon would be used to mow down infantry. down side when the infantry got close they hit them with there weapon witch is vitrually in effective.
Pros:Good against armor type 1 and 2 Cons:Horrible close-combat
excellent ranged combatHave to kneel to use
Fast and dangerous Takes backpack place and makes avatar move slower
Big and Scarry =P Lowers Def mods
Ineffective against armor 3 and armored vehicles =]
Desired stats
speed 2
damege 212-313 *like on DOW*
good against armors 1 and 2
kinetic damege
no statues effects if any it should lower morale =P
These are all ideas from Dawn of War a warhammer 40k game if you dont like the ideas then curse away ^_^ but the ideas are all balanced and thats what SOE wants =]
i love space marines there all commandos CLOSE RANGE effective AND USES A VARIETY OF WEAPONS
only one grenade type! thereweapons included Bolter, Heavy Bolter, Flamethrower, Plasma gun, and Rocket Launcher last a combat knife not used while flamethrower or heavy bolter was equiped bc flamethrower is a close combat weapon and bolter is to big to take off
DOSENT THAT SOUND LIKE A COMMANDOS WEAPONS now this is what i wanted the commando profession to be =D
