Thread: FS Mod's FIXED...or so it seems.

Yep, don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I most definatly have. Last night was doing my Padawan trials and I was using a 3.3 speed FT, this is a FT that I have been using for MONTHS! I noticed that I was shooting FAST, faster then I have ever shot before, wasn't a Lag catch-up type deal either. It was consistantly shooting very fast. Approximatly 2.0-2.5, so to verify this I pulled out my high damage 5.0 speed and instantly noticed that it to was shooting noticably faster. I have both Ranged Speed and Melee speed so I can't verify which is affecting the FT speed. But I do assure you that my FT's were shooting faster and had a much higher DPS. I believe this is a sign that we can expect the Alpha Testing to start.....or Beta

That is good news, but it would be VERY nice to know which (ranged or melee) are causing this. If anyone else has had time to test, please advise. I would, but have never really spent any time to get FS. MaybeI should . . .

StarNick,

Can you get a confirmation from the Dev's on this? Specifically, 1) that it is working, 2) whether it is the melee or the ranged speed that is working.

Wow, I might have to cash in the over 2 million FS XP I have been banking until the mods were fixed lol.

This would be HUGE good news for me, the fact they let bugs like this persist really pisses me off and speaks volumes about the quality control of this game. Or the lack of quality control.

I have 10 more pirates to kill before I can get FS Ranged Speed 1 & 2. I'll try to do some testing and take some screens.

Well, from what I saw the FS Ranged Speed is still broken (for heavy weapons, at least). My 2.3 speed flamethrower fired every 5 seconds both with and without +6 FS Rng Spd (it should have fired every 4.5 sec w/FS mods). With the chance that the difference in speed was too small with a 2.3 spd ft, I tried a 5.0 spd acid rifle, and it fired every 11 seconds when it should have fired every 10 seconds (9.8 to be exact) with +6 FS Ranged Speed.

As far as I know, they didn't fix it....but if by any chance they did, and didn't post it in the update notes...then kudos to the devs!

Figures....plus the devs avoided my thread on the Corr forums like the plague it seems (well...THdidnt really replied to anything either yesterday anyhoo). So the other correspondents gave their opinion, that is was just " a figment of his imagination "

well... a M commando mate of mine has melee speed working for him too...will it didn't work for me when I was commando on my FS toon

It hasnt worked for me for months and as far as I can tell still doesnt make any difference. I have both Ranged and Melee speed FS trees completed. None of the combat based offensive FS skills seem to work with my flamers.
