They say patience is a virtue, but too much patience will get you walked on.

I have personally been a commando since about three weeks after release. I sought out this profession not from what was stated in books, or on the forums, but because I liked it. I did not want to be like so many other people and become a Bounty Hunter or a Creature Handler to make my living, I wanted to pick up the big gun and lead the charge into combat, taking on all who oppose me. Overzealous, maybe, but in its own right I was hoping to recive a bit of that dream.

When I finally spent my hard earned 40,000 combat experience onmy novice commando skill, I figured that of things were as bad as they were rumored to be, it would soon be fixed because no devloper wants to provide let people play with thier baby if its broken. I forged on bleed killing numerous low-level and sometimes mid-level mobs, and finally I got my first commando skill. I was proud to stay commied, because so many were quitting commando in frustration, and they were rightfully were, but I would never be counted among them.

Forging on day-to-day I patiently dabbled into other professions trying to bide my time until my profession would be fixed andready to face other much greater things. I worked pistoleer when i head about the first monthly patch and the addition of the launcher pistol to the offical commando arsenal. Pistoleer was my first true taste of combat power, I could begin to take on mid-level mobs on my own and pistol experience began to flow.

After the first monthly patch, I struck out with my Launcher Pistol and for the first time ever began to gain heavy weapons experience without having to bleed kill something. It felt good, and I had hopes that I as a commando had haop in the future.

Several weeks later I have over half of my commando boxes filled and I am excited to be nearing closer to mastering my chosen profession. With the day and weeks wearing on and on the devlopers seem more and mroe shy when its comes to addressing or at least informing us on the prospect of a working commando, and my hopes are beginning to waver.

This came to light when I would try and go to mroe advanced planets for a bigger challenge than raiding low level character dungeons and what not. First thing is that I have trouble grouping with random people because they know two major things about commandos. Frist we are grossly underpowered and will be dead weight to their team, which is why i have my medic skills tp provide some use form myself. Second is that my exotic weapons causea large amount of FPS (frames per second) lag and this puts great strain on others computers and connections, not to mention gameplay.

This really hurt also because the group that I hunt and socialize with are all beginning to get midway to the end of their elite profession and they are vastly more powerful than myself. They are out seeking new challenges and places that a commando would dare not travel unless he wanted to risk constant humiliation and death.

I think the commando virus has finally gotten to me like so many other aspiring commandos. This horriable underpowering of a profession is starting to bring down my enjoyment of an otherwise fun game. I do not desire to quit, i have made good friends and have a great way to enjoy my freetime.

I want to say that I feel for all the Bio-Engineers and Droid Engineers out there but I do not feel it is the exact same situation with commando, i feel it is wose. I will not go into this further or explain why, I do not intend this to be a flame war, just a nice vent... which is a nice way to say a rant :-)

In closing I will not pesonally attack any of the devlopers or demand that since I am paying for this game that it needs to be perfect. I understand that this game, like reality, is not perfect. All I can constructively do is grind out the rest of my professions skills with my trusty Launcher Pistol and pray that we are not hearing much from the devlopment end because they are busy trying to make this once again a enjoyable experience. Besides we have at least two great guys on this game, Holocron and Q-3PO and if anyone can do this they can. You have my confidence, please do not make me feel its misplaced.

It would feel great to know that someone from devlopment was reading this, but its true purpose was to let the community know the feelings of one dedicated commando. If you wish to respond please keep it constructive and do not flame silly things. Use this time to release some of your frustration too, but keep it constructive!
