Thread: HPBC v. Acid Rifle

Which wepon is better, not a commando yet, heading there, I'm looking at the trees and theHeavy Weapons Support line has no new specials, but ALOT of skill mods, whereas at Acid Rifle 2, you get a cone1 and single2. Granted, the only weapon I see many commando's equiped with in PvP is the flamethrower, I wanted to know which weapon is better the HPBC or the Acid Rifle. Is the HPBC so powerfull that it needs no specials? Is the acid rifle a good weapon to use against ranged opponents? Thx for help all.

HPBC is better hands down, mostly because the acid rifle in its current state is relatively useless. I never use my acid rifle but often use the HPBC in both PvP and PvE. It doesn't need a special because its max damage is usually in the low- to mid- 3000's with heavy armor piercing if I remember right.

No contest. The HPBC is a good long range weapon. It can oftern incap a player with one shot. The trick is finding a weaponsmith that doesnt charge 20k for 33 shots. There's weaponsmiths that sell them for 3 thousand for 33 so keep your eye out for them.

There is a weaponsmith (not a master yet), who sells HPBCs for 3k on the bazaar. and when he gets to master I'm buying all my heavy support weapons from him.

Ive used both the HPBC and the acid rifle, although i do prefer the rocket launcher because of its maximum dammage, but the HOBC is alos a good weapon to use regardless. I have used the rocket launcher in a pvp battle and was able to incap with one shot and no misses, however if you are only looking at the HPBC and the acid rifle.....i think you get the point.

I find the old HPBC all the time on the bazaar, but lately I have found HPBC on the bazaar. Bought 8 of them the otherday for 3k each. Yah their crap, but who can argue when you get a weapon that does 3k damage until the taget gets close to you.
