Thread: Flamethrower or acid rifle?
After i master weaponsmith i think im gonna do some stuf in the commando skill tree, and after some calculating i figured i can do three out of four skill trees in the commando profession.
So, i have to choose: either the flamethrower or the acid rifle specialisation...
Which one do you guys prefer?
you'll soon realize the HAR is worthless
the FT is a much superior weapon
I heard flamethrower is better for PvP because of the load of wounds
acid rifle is better for Pve because critters usually have less acid resistance
What about the damage stats? are they similar?
as it was sayed arround 1000 times
HAR
is bugged
has lower damage then FT
is slower as the FT
and has no dot
Hello, Illget Novice Commando kinda soonand Im just ondering which one of those two thatst the best one.
A Commando in my PA said Flamethrower and I believe him... I got owned by a novice commando with a flame thrower today ![]()
He aslo said that the acid rifle looks cooler since its bigger ![]()
I noticed that the acid rifle and flamethrower seems to have the exact same accurecy and speed mods...
and the same attacks to like "flame cone1" and acid cone1"
So, is it just a matter of preference? Or is the acid rifle broken or something? ![]()
Thanks
Acid rifle is totally broke, one thing is its specials although same as flamethrower only with acid dont do the DOT that the flame does. I wont go into the whole thing with it but trust me, you want the FT and to build straight up the FT specialization line first befor anything else.
And IMO, the acid rifle itself may look cool, but the flame specials are the best.![]()
Ok, thanks for that...
well, I guess it isnt worth waiting for them to fix the acid rifle
:'(
Oh, wait. Just thought of a question: Is it common that creatures/NPCs have heat resist?
If they do, I can always pull my launcher pistol up
Which leads me to my next question:
Is it common that creatures/NPCs have blast resist? ![]()
Thanks
Even if creatures have 100% heat resist the dot burns. The internals overheat so to speak. There is no compelling reason to use the HAR except:
your group may like it better for no smoke, explosions, etc.
you may be fighting something with great blast/heat resist and poor acid resist sitting in water
